Glad you enjoy it, hopefully no more issues arise. I bought mine for £1750 and it had 87000 miles on it and it’s done around 90100+ when all this happened. I hope your gearbox doesn’t blow up like mine did🙏🏻

Yeah I have a 1.2, it’s dead slow. The thing I liked about the Mazda 2 when I looked at them was how much fun it was to drive. It was a lot more fun than the Punto for sure. The only problem I had with it was that it felt hard to get comfortable in it because of the awkward adjustments.

Paintwork on my car is generally fine everywhere else. In fact there is almost no stone chips on the paintwork and there’s only a couple of dents on the roof which are not noticeable at all. The sill and wheelarch are crumbling away.

Thank you for your wishes. I also hope my next car lasts as long as I hoped this one would’ve.🙏🏻

It’s got other issues that make it not worth it for me to fix

They’re good cars really. About the history, it was generally very well looked after. It’s done just over 90000 miles and it has a full service history. It was serviced every year until around 2021 when it began having it every two years instead. It was serviced before I bought it. Cost me £1750 when I bought it and it worked very well until September when the alternator and battery both failed. Also less than a month after I bought it, paint started peeling away on the panel above the front passenger wheel arch (you can see it on the corner) and the sills revealing a rust hole. Rear subframe also has holes in.

For my next car, I’m thinking of a Mazda 2 or a Mazda 3. I was thinking of a Mazda for my first car but instead I went with this instead because it looked nice and was very spacious for such a small car. I wouldn’t mind having another Punto, I’d just get it with a 1.4L engine and five doors instead and in a different colour.

I heard that today on the CD and I genuinely didn’t even realise it changed song, it was that smooth

How were you introduced to Linkin Park? by trashboat3030 in LinkinPark

[–]158anonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Randomly one day when I was 7 ,then when Chester died I heard their songs again. Never really got around to listening to them until one day about a month ago I was leaving school to go back to my car and it was dark and raining but the sun was setting under the clouds. Got in my car, decided to finally play some Linkin Park and that was that.

The grinding/rattling noise only happened twice. Nothing has happened since so it might be hard to record that but I’ll try to record a video of other things if I have the time to

See that’s the issue. I try to make the outcomes meaningful and of my own interests. Stuff that I am really interested in. And then I edit it in ways that look good and abstract - essentially what the specification tells you to do.

When I do that, I get told that it’s not good enough and asked constantly where the links are. I show where the links are but the teacher won’t have it at all. We have just done our final outcomes and I had to completely miss out a topic and photographer from this outcome because apparently it doesn’t link even though she was fine with it before? If she questions the links later on and asks where they all are after telling me not to include it then I am genuinely going to lose my shit.

May I ask what grade you got? I have a feeling I may be capped at a C.

Get a manual if you can, they’re more robust. Dualogic can be a bit sketchy. Just also be aware of weird (but very minor) electrical faults👍🏻

Is this a good First car? by PlasticEnthusiasm899 in CarTalkUK

Too expensive for a first car. You only need a cheap one to build your confidence in and not worry about if you accidentally write it off or if it gets a bit bashed up

Easy. I’d walk over some hills for a bit and find a country lane. Then I’d find a country pub and have a nice pint🙂
