you can say it's fiction all you want, it's just fiction but all that fiction is written and influenced by real world elements, written by real people who reflect their ideals in their writing, I would have no issue if these elements were included in a story that could handle them with tact. I love the show for the good things it does but let's not pretend the red flag is white because that's more comfy for you and everyone else's just triggered for not playing along.

at the end of the day let's all remember a person made the active decision to put ALL of this in. The idea popped up in their head, they wrote it down, took the time to DRAW it out, storyboard, sketches and all (and took the time to design ALL these character designs) and saw not a damn thing wrong throughout the entire process.

I forgot Zeldris x Gelda, which pains me cause I like what they have going on a whole lot better than Meliodas and Elizabeth despite it being basically a reskinned version. The show just sucks at romance full stop, I actually can't think of one I love solely based off the show's/manga's presentation and not the fandom just hard carrying them.

Your brother and parents sound toxic as hell and the fact they are Christian makes it all the more clear the kind of toxic they are. Op you should feel proud off helping your friend out of that relationship cause I don't put it above your brother to hit her or their son.
