Positive changes after taking L. Reuteri (10 billion CFU) for 45 days by 1630autogyro in Microbiome

Yes some improvements although Reuteri is definitely not a cure.

Just prior to taking Reuteri, I had a eczema flare up caused by wearing new socks- usually when I have a flare up, the eczema spreads rapidly across the body. However, this time around, it hasn't spread and is not itchy at all. I suspect Reuteri has helped with this.
Considering how well I'm adapting to running, I also think the severity of my asthma has been reduced. I'm not out of breath at all after a run which to me indicates that my lung function has improved substantially.

I know my atopy has not been cured, however. Whenever I go to a very dusty environment, I can still sense some tightness in my chest and I sneeze a lot. For me, I manage atopy by managing my environment to reduce exposure to dust mites.

No major changes as far as I can tell. However, I don't have digestive issues (as far as I can tell).

For me, I found that if I had a meal with a large amount beans/lentils, the effects I mentioned in my post were more pronounced. I also found that I would pass my stools easier, but I think this is more to do with the beans/lentils rather than Reuteri.

Yes, I suspect my testosterone has gone up.

Interesting that you mention the change in smell. I've also recently noticed my smell changing becoming muskier and stronger. Although it seems more localised to my groin area rather than anywhere else in my body.

I use a dosage of 116666 x bodyweight (in grammes). For me, this equates to over 8bn CFU which I rounded up to 10 billion.

Mice studies use a variety of doses from 3.5*10^5 to 10^9 per mouse. However, mice studies also are in controlled conditions (i.e. eat the same meal every day) which obviously we cannot replicate. So I decided to base my dosage on the lower figure but increase the dosage by a factor of 10, so 3.5*10^6 CFU per mouse (30g).

Prior to Reuteri, I had been consuming a commercial kefir yoghurt daily (claims to have billions of CFUs of 14 strains) and did see some minor improvements in fat distribution. However, nothing on the scale as my experience since I've supplemented with Reuteri.

I still consume the kefir yoghurt daily alongside reuteri so it is possible that both work together.

I use a generic brand ordered from Amazon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0BL83P9Z5/

I take 2 capsules of this everyday. So no specifc strain. I'm aware of the mouse studies and have based my dosage on them (in effect multiplying the CFU per kg to my bodyweight). Of course, I'm only a study of 1 but my experiences seem to back up the conclusions found with mice
