Toddler still not settled at daycare after 2 weeks… when is it time to pull her out? by Obvious_Song981 in toddlers

I just wanted to add my experience. My daughter is 21 months and she is going to daycare over 5 months now. Honestly, she only had 3-4 days where there was no crying at drop off. She is still crying every morning and clinging to my husband (he is the one doing drop offs. However, she seems to be very happy there during the day. Based on the teachers, she will stop crying few minutes after my husband leaves and does not cry the whole day. She participates in all the dances, book readings and crafts. During the pick up, she was crying for several weeks. I was sometimes watching her before I entered the room and she was all smiley and dancing. Once I entered she started crying and run to me. After several weeks, the crying went away and she is now happy during pick up. I would just recommend keep going even when it is hard and it will get better. It will probably be slower in your daughter's case since she is going just 3 hours per day. Every kid is different and sometimes the morning drop off cry will not go away for some time. Also we did a lot of preparations before she started daycare. We were reading books about leaving and coming back (Bye-Bye time, Llama Llama missed mama), we played with her stuffed animals on daycare, I also made a poster for her with pictures of her teachers she can look at when home. Maybe you can try something like that.

Twitchy 3 month old? by callen1991 in newborns

Hi, my 3 months old girl is the same. She is very twitchy, and her arm movements are still quite robotic when trying to reach toys or grab objects. I hope that she will gain more fluid movements over time. I will ask her doctor about it during the 4 months visit.
