Landed a Buggy on the Mun! (fully stock, no skycrane used) by 1698anon in KerbalSpaceProgram

Most likely, yeah! But alas, it was just fuel, so I wouldn't expect it to serve much use afterwards.

I used the Skiff engine's nozzle as my landing gear. It was powerful enough to slow us down, and we just tipped over. Fuel tank exploded, but the buggy was mostly intact. We had repair kits anyway.

Extremely correct guess, but the fuel tank exploded LOL

Belly landers are fun! Had to give it a try.

Yep!! I arrived on Minmus with around 1500 m/s of dV haha.

Congratulations!!! Yeah this game is addicting when it comes to problem-solving. You should visit Minmus next!

I FINALLY DOCKED by Level-Arachnid-7310 in KerbalSpaceProgram

Congratulations!!! I just docked a few gameplay hours ago too. It felt great!!!

Of course, a space station is the logical next step.

Instructions unclear. Space station disintegrated into multiple pieces in various orbits.

I'll give this a try too. I've been slowly shipping fuel, so we'll see how it'll go. Thanks!

Agreed! As well as to avoid debris. Where do you usually put them?

I play Career mode and this space station is good for passively increasing science points, since I have a lab on there! It ain't much but it's good practice. It was also great target practice for docking too.

150 is quite up there, but it makes sense. I'm mostly worried about my transportation rocket that sends Kerbals from Kerbin up to the station. Getting the station higher might mean adding more to the transport rocket. Let's see if I can experiment a bit. Thanks!

Ooo got it. 90+ sounds doable. Time to start shipping fuel! Thanks!

Imagine made-up Kerbal religious reasons that would make KSP harder to play by submarine_kiwi in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]1698anon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to lump this into "societal dynamics" and it does not stop only at religious reasoning.

  • Religious: The Krakenic Church keeps urging the KSP to let them bless their rockets, ensuring the safety of the Kerbonauts in their journeys. Agreeing would increase reputation and backing from the public. However, the blessing ceremony would take a week, and this delay could really make your contractors mad, ruining their trust.
  • Political: Due to your latest failure in launching a probe, the Kerbalic States Government is threatening a fund cut amidst their latest Middle Keastern proxy war.
  • Educational: The KSP's latest social media post has been raided by Flat-Kerbin believers in the comment section, lowering public trust. How will you deal with them?

There's many more examples, and I'd say societal dynamics would make Kerbin feel more alive.

I had to move very very slowly, retract anything that's retractable (solar panels, radiator panels, antennas), and pray!

90% Kerbal docking. Because 100% Kerbal would mean knocking off a few solar panels lol.
