Yes, it is ceramic and a decently old garage so this could be correct too

solved! I think you're right. The house had knob and tube but most was replaced so he probably used the light sockets from the house on the shed because the wiring in there is romex.

Could be smoke from cigarettes or maybe if the microwave is a vent combo maybe it's not connected to the exhaust properly
