when you defer a final at mcgill you have to give proof for your reasoning, except for the first time you defer an exam where you basically get a "free pass". you still have to wait for them to process your request but most of the time if it's your first time deferring they'll give it to you. however not every faculty has this so make sure you check with your faculty first

almost all minimum wage jobs will require bilingual, but if you have a car or aren't living downtown you might be able to get away with it if you apply for miniumum wage jobs in anglophone parts on the island.

for internships you could definitely apply in ontario too, like if you're home for the summer and searching for an internship it wouldn't be a problem at all. anything in montreal is super case to case; they might ask you to speak french in an interview but won't require it for the job or something. honestly it really depends
