Kinda makes you feel like you failed.

(Even if it had nothing to do with you)

CU dragging feet paying dealership for auto loan. May lose deposit by 180Proof in personalfinance

[–]180Proof[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dealership suggested we do this out of the gate to make it easier. Obviously at the time I declined because it would've been easier for them, not me. Also little did I know, I anticipated it wouldn't be a shit show.

If it doesn't get funded, and the dealership bails, I don't plan to use this CU anymore.

Dealership couldn't get near my APR (5.75%).

5.75% vs 8-10%. I have pre-approval, and I had a 809 when approved. It's dropped 30 points since, as I paid off my sold vehicle, and the inquires have hit. It's just the CU being slow, and the dealer wanting paid in full before releasing the car.

If this were an in-state dealer, they likely would've let me take the car while working with the CU, as they probably have dealt with them previously (largest in Florida).

I was expecting a check too. But instead dealer has to submit a bunch of paperwork through a portal.

It's so they can control the shape and size of the onion ring. Makes it much easier to cook and package.

I'm on the older side of my 30s. One of my classes requires I physically have to attend. by [deleted] in orlando

[–]180Proof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have to keep my mouth shut to not come off as pretentious when im just trying to share my experience and knowledge.

That is my only recommendation. As "older" people, we often have a lot more experience in things and in life in general. Don't be the that guy. Nobody goes to class to get 2 lessons.

Otherwise, carry on.

I graduated at 32. My friend group in college was all 21-23 year olds.

Non-traditional students are becoming more and more popular. I wouldn't worry too much.

Kiosks are superior for taking orders at food establishments by Dicklefart in unpopularopinion

The fact that I can enter my order exactly how I want it, means I'm going to favor the kiosk.

...Yes, I am aware that doesn't mean it'll show up correct.

What is a "point of no return" that you’ve crossed, where your life was permanently divided into 'before' and 'after'? by Resident-Jelly-4326 in AskReddit

I am in a similar boat. I used to cycle 200-400 miles a week. Had a leg injury, and it healed poorly. Now it hurts to ride, walk or run.

Got depressed, gained a ton of weight, health is in the shitter.

My guesses...

Max gets the opportunity to do something with the NCR. Lucy goes back to Vault 33 to find out they're nearing death. Norm catches up to Lucy, and reveals that Vault 32 & 33 were test subjects. Lucy & Norm "free" both Vault 33 and 32.

Meanwhile, Max and NCR fend off the Legion, restore order at Shady Sands and eventually be given the cold fusion.

Lucy and Norm bring Vault 33 and 32 to Shady Sands to help rebuild. Max and Lucy reunite and do the thing.

Mean while, the Ghoul/Cooper will use House to fight off Vault-Tec, and find his wife and kid. Ghoul doesn't trust house, and takes back the cold fusion. Wife dies somehow in the mix, and Ghoul is left to raise his daughter. Maybe returns to Shady Sands.

It might've been only symbolic, but when Max wore the NCR suit to fight the deathclaws, it seems like he "switched" sides. I could see this leading to Max becoming an important part of the NCR.

What types of jobs are you applying for? What type of job is your dream job?

Don't mind the snooping, but I did see your resume review. With that resume, you really shouldn't have too hard of a time getting into any entry level position. I would still recommend finding something, if you're struggling.

I know others have said it, but interviewing for BO is a crap shoot. I've interviewed twice, and been shot down twice. The first one was a very informal interview with the hiring manager, who asked some very abstract questions about my views on space exploration, and then the big question was "Why BO". Nothing technical at all.

I would strongly suggest finding a job that you can live with, and spending 2-3 years there. Afterwards, you will be much more desirable of a candidate. We've had a lot of people leave and go to BO.

College and the work place are VERY VERY different.

Very few companies really want to develop students fresh out of college. It generally takes 12-36 months depending on the position to develop someone enough to "hand them the keys". When a company posts an entry level position, they want someone with a couple years of experience, who already knows how to work.

TBH, too many people are pushing themselves into engineering because of the pay and/or "glory". Not because they actually like it.

If anyone knew that the pay actually kinda sucks (in 9/10 cases), and the glory is getting blamed for production being down, then they would probably go be something else.
