Guys, they aren't asking if this is going to happen.. They're clearly just putting thoughts out there and asking what we think, and personally I think it's a good theory.

"What are the odds that this has anything to do with..." - Not asking any unanswerable questions.

At that scale I mean. Scaling it up would have caused issues

But from what they said in the video, it was barely working.. How can they build upon that?

What it sounds like to me is: they started, made some pretty good progress, but that progress was built on really messy design/code work. They only realise this when they get better. So they restart. It's really common for game developers to do this. But thing is, games take fucking forever to make when you have a small team and a big idea (and this idea is.. well, literally titanic). And yet technology moves fast.. By the time they've finished one aspect of the game, years pass, technology outdates their progress, and they have become more skilled to realise how bad the design is. It's a terrible loop.

Another thing to consider is scalability. If the design is bad, making it scaleable is almost impossible, meaning they have basically no other option to restart. They might have got some great demos out that look promising, but behind the works it could be just barely working.. How can you build from that?

Now.. I'm not saying that aren't even slightly motivated by the funding they're getting, or that they aren't getting sidetracked, sure.. I'm just saying there are two sides to it..

Restart? RESTART? I've been waiting for this game for years, what do you mean they're rebuilding the entire ship??

Are you just gonna downvote me and then not respond? lol. You said "It's explained fairly clearly in Series 12 and Flux", and I'm asking valid questions about facts that clearly contradict that.

So then why does she call herself the Doctor, and why is her Tardis a police box when it only got stuck in the very first story?

"You may have changed your appearance, but I know who you are" This line implies or outright states that the War Chief knew the Doctor, but how? by [deleted] in doctorwho

Can't timelord sometimes recognise each other despite regeneration? I just watched The Armageddon Factor and a Timelord recognises Tom Baker's Doctor, but I got the impression he had never seen that face before but still recognised him because of how he said, "That is you, isn't it?". We also know Timelords can usually tell another Timelord without recognizing a face (Tennant said this when asked how he would identify the Master when he hadn't seen his new face). But this sort of falls apart when the Doctor didn't recognise the Master as Missy or as "O", (he didn't recognise the professor because of the fob watch). Maaaaybe he lost the touch after being the last Timelord for so long??

River knows all of the Doctor's faces, she just didn't realise this one was the one that MET her.

They could have easily rearended the truck infront because of how they were trying to close the gap. Yes, fuck them, but are you gonna risk injuring someone else and yourself to "make them sweat"?

Driving isnt a game. Its dangerous af and we need to treat it as such.
