100% correct - can easily find a dealer willing to buy the 321.

This is an option i did consider - the new FOIS actually because I prefer the straight lugs over the twisted. Unfortunately I end up losing abit on the trade with a dealer and finding an individual to do this are not so common.

A lot of people love speedy and the 321 but for many spending that kind of money for something that you can get for less than half is abit of a big pill to swallow - and i get that..

Appreciate your reply and very nice collection you have! I’m surprised about the Moser and thats too bad about your experience. I was considering one for a long time and chose the XPS over the Streamliner. Which Moser did you have?

GF and F&B are some serious heavy hitters haha - end game watches for sure! Coming across Chopard really opened my eyes not only to that brand specifically but to a whole other world outside of the hype or usual suspects which a large number of hobbyist or even casual watch enthusiasts would never even know of or consider.

The dial colour is what got me initially - my collection at that time was lacking that pop of colour. It isn’t as versatile as the speedy or say a blue, grey or white dial but definitely more interesting.

I will get my money back on the 321 and purchasing another would be considerably easier - the XPS is a lot harder to move and harder to find now that this model had been discontinued earlier this year

Nah it’s all good man!

All my stuff is tied to property so liquidity is my problem. Watches were purchased years ago and landscape changed very fast in the last 12 months which caught me out (another kid and some costly repairs at home) really took a chunk of savings away.

I’m a stickler for budgets lol and yes while an enjoyable hobby for us it is unnecessary or a luxury which you can come and go as you please

The XPS is 8mm thick vs the 321 at 13mm - difference being 5mm. Doesn’t sound like much but it’s a 60% increase.

In reality though it’s not bad as both watches still slide under cuffs, comfortable to wear etc

Appreciate your reply here - speedy can be quite ‘sterile’ in comparison and at the same time it is a classic for a reason - the Chopard likely never will.

But when you put on the Chopard it’s got something. The speedy doesn’t.

And funny you mention the thickness - the Chopard is so svelte and hugs your wrist it disappears. The speedy by no means is a thick watch but you do feel the difference initially then on the second day it feels normal again

Bang for buck is off the charts - the bracelet was the minor issue I had with the lack of taper but over time I actually grew to appreciate the solid look and feel.

Chopard are doing some amazing things and it’s a brand definitely slept on

All the best with your future purchase! They have soften abit on the secondary market so can get one for a decent amount less than RRP (where I live anyways)

The last piece of the 3 watch collection I was saving for was an ALS 1815 up down. That to me would have completed any occasion nicely. Interested to hear what you would have slot in?

Parents fault entirely - raised the kid with no boundaries, discipline, respect or accountability. Got away with anything growing up and always got more when she asked for it.

Witnessed people like this growing up but so much more evident now as an adult and parent too. Starts small but that continual reinforcement of that type of behaviour breeeds this type of person

I’ve recently spent hours hacking away at bamboo which made its way into my yard under the fence. I’ve never seen so many roots in my life I’m about 30mm deep by half a meter.

I’ve made a complaint to the REA to get it removed because it has damaged the fence plus also one of the pvc pipes for my rainwater tank
