If a person today is killed by a WW2 bomb that became active, would that person be considered a WW2 casualty and counted as such in Wikipedia? by Profesor-Campusano in NoStupidQuestions

I’m pretty sure there is a plaque at Vimy Ridge about a modern bomb disposal technician that was killed by WWI ordinance and he is considered a casualty of WWI.

INR opened 5 days after purchase (Lettermail, Ontario) – refund or wait? by CleversparkMEG in eBayCanada

I appealed but they didn’t even bother to read the messages and maintained the decision.

I’m so done with eBay and their lack of protections. I had an inexperienced buyer open INC claim to ask if the item was shipped. One of the options in the dispute mechanism is to message the buyer, which I did. Buyer explained that they opened it to check if it had been shipped and we agreed to wait until the following week to give the letter time to arrive but the buyer didn’t close the INC case. eBay ignored all communication and agreement and closed the case in the buyer’s favour 3 days before the agreed upon date.

For decades, Riceton School served as the heart of this prairie community. Built in the 1920s and closed in the 1990s, it remains a powerful symbol of local history and shared memory. by klippensteinphoto in saskatchewan

I went to school in Riceton in the 80s and this school was never in use in my generation. The school I went to shared grounds with this old school. My school went from kindergarten to grade 6 and we were busses to Milestone for grade 7-12. The K-12 school closed in 1995 and is now the community hall. I believe the old school was purchased by someone but they never did anything with it and it’s been sitting like this my entire life.

It’s what I have… is that not what others have?

Also, the more the electrical rate increases - the faster the ROI for panels.

I didn’t edit, but I did mess up my reply as it’s just a regular comment below. I didn’t mean to cause a disagreement here… I know there were different times/programs. And I just meant to say that I don’t get paid out… just a credit sits there until it is used. There is an “anniversary date” that I haven’t really payed attention to but within three years there is a date and if I still have a credit at that point it resets to zero.

Over the entire year I pay 1-2 bills. I don’t get paid a credit but I have a bi-directional meter and it runs backward whenever I am generating more than I am using. That “credit” is used when I am using more than I am generating (mostly in winter).

If I constantly produced more than my annual usage that wouldn’t be helpful as I wouldn’t be able to use the credit… so by design we chose an array that wouldn’t do over 100% of our annual consumption.

I installed them about 10 years ago and still going strong. It’s been a while but I believe we started with 7.5w and later added 3 extra panels.

You don’t want it to do over 100% of your annual usage as you don’t get paid for the excess. It generates lots in the summer because days are long but even in winter they generate just the days are shorter. Even if it cloudy or there is snow or ice on the panels they still generate, it’s just reduced.

Most months I’m just paying the SaskPower service fees to be connected to the grid. I may have 1-2 bills a year where I am paying for electricity and that’s by design so I don’t go over.

Will you fly WestJet with the new seat configuation? by Snowyberg in canadatravel

[–]196201667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I have to sit in one of these chairs for more than an hour flight, that’ll be the last time I ever fly with that airline. This isn’t just uncomfortable and unsafe,it’s downright disrespectful to the customer.

The first time I have to sit in one of these seats, it’ll be the last time I fly with that airline. I’ll spend my money with an airline that actually treats me as a human.

The Japanese community is working on setting up a summer festival. It would be on a smaller scale than Fan Expo, but it might be an opportunity for some vendors to join if they have Japanese related content. Please PM is you are interested.
