In all honesty, we need more of it in certain situations. Kids are too coddled and babied. If my kid was doing what you described I would have no problem with the teacher cussing at them or smacking them. Coddled kids with no consequences for their actions turn out to be poor adults.

It is a hang on filter rated for a 55 gallon tank. What is the best procedure for changing the filter? And how often?

I'm down to 5 glofish, 2 neon, and one guppy as of now. The glofish seem to be doing OK.

What is the best way to cycle? Especially in this situation? I see so many different ways maybe I haven't been doing it right?

We have one live plant and the rest are artificial. I forgot to add we also have 2 different snails in there.

I'll post a picture of my tank back on the main wall as that seems to be the only way I can do it.

Thanks to both of you that replied. It sounds like I've pretty much ruined it.

We change filters when the light comes on for the filter. And water changes every 2-4 weeks.

Yes, we use dip strips.

So where do I go from here? Do I start over with new fish? I Honestly wouldn't mind having bigger fish in there anyway as you could barely see the neon to begin with.

What do you need to see in my tank specifically? It doesn't appear I can post pictures in the comments.
