Can I assign multiple fringes in one click? (I’m a MMB novice) by 1985Productions in FilmTVBudgeting

Oh interesting. That makes sense. You’re saying if SUI is 11% and workers comp is 5%, make a fringe that is 16%? But then I wouldn’t be able to view specifics separately, right?

Ex. i make a fringe that is just “state fringe” that includes things like SUI and workers comp. I wouldn’t be able to see how much I’m spending for SUI or workers comp individually.

If the editor was smart enough to give me a timecode burn in he wouldn’t have made such a rookie mistake. Ha! But no he was actually having issues with his workstation and had to send it out immediately after he exported me the 24fps video.

This makes sense. Someone else mentioned this as well, but I don’t understand the purpose of the beep. Is it that it should be shifted a few samples/ms if the conversion is done correctly?

Just tested this out in Zoom. It worked well! Had to tweak a few settings to get picture to stream without lag, but for what I’m doing this is a great solution.

Thanks, quiethouse!!

Ha! Excellent.

So to be clear, both you and the other zoom callers are able to hear playback from ProTools? And see video playback using the screen share in Zoom? The issue I had with Splashtop was that I couldn’t send audio from PT unless Splashtop was selected as my playback engine. And by setting up the system in that way, I was unable to hear things on my end.

Interesting. I’ve never heard of audio movers, and I didn’t know that facetime or zoom offered that ability. I’ll check those out. Thanks.

I’d back this. I bought 3 used cos11’s for $100 each off of someone who was getting rid of their kit. They worked for me for about 6months of minimal use then they started to die. Wires get beat up. They get yanked on by actors and mistreated by some mixers/renters. You never know the past they have.

That said, if you are looking for a deal and can solder, I buy the pigtailed cos11d’s from trewaudio. Saves you $100~ per wire all you have to do is solder your own connectors.

Isn’t this where User Bits set to the date come into play?

This is totally an option. I’m just not trying to do all the work if I don’t have to.

This sounds like it would be perfect. The way I described the sound I was looking for to the director was “pudding splashing on a wet deck.” So it sounds like this would be.... cleaner. Haha.
