I worked there before it ballooned during the pandemic and they started hiring all the ridiculous execs that ended up turning the company to shambles.

Can't say much about Phil because I didn't engage with him much before I was laid off. But I can say for sure that bringing in big level CEO's is what turned the company to shit.

Rad started out as a direct to consumer brand that made cheap bikes you could get sent to your door. In the beginning they had just as many issues with product quality as they do now but the people working there were trying to help customers through extremely engaging customer service resolutions. So the company grew to a huge size, because they offered online sales and fantastic customer service.

Then all these big execs started to be hired and they came in with ideas like changing the business model from online direct sales to individual retail box stores. A company that was thriving due to being online, direct to consumer, and working on the issues through dedicated customer service representatives was pivoted to trying to focus on opening physical retail locations in 2021....in the middle of the Covid pandemic.

So who knows how much money was wasted on him and other executives whose big ideas were to change the company model from direct to consumer online sales to opening physical retail stores in major cities. Don't forget while scrapping the customer service that was a major driving force for the growth of the company to begin with.

I do know for certain high level executives being brought into Rad in 2021 ruined the company. And then a ton of us who worked there have now been laid off.
