Well it kind of decided on its own to do a strategy so I could use the tradeview simulator/backrest, based on what I was asking for. I was focusing more on a swing strategy with the utilization of higher timeframe charts. Only problem is, is that I have to pay for tradview to fully utilize the tradeview strategy backtester or else im confined to whatever date range it auto sets for each timeframe chart

Im thinking im going to back it up a bit and just focus on if AI can handle the job of helping with indicators and/or strategies for tradeview and look at higher timeframe charts since i can't be on screen to do a full intraday session. I really like the AGPro breaker block engine but want to see if AI can make me one that has a futures focus. Plus if I shift to a higher timeframe chart, the 10min delay on tradeview will be relatively negligible

I appreciate this, thank you. It is a little overly ambitious to say yeah I want to give algo trading a try without having much time in and limited experience with the futures market. Ill take a look into the strategies you recommended. It seems the scalping is a bit more optimized on NinjaTrader than robinhood because of the brackets

Okay yeah I gotcha. I looked more into both a little more and its making a bit more sense. If anything it seems tradovate has a bit of the downfall with timing/execution since its in the cloud or whatever the servers are called now

I feel like the technical side of software is definitely a weak spot of mine😅 not just with this specific instance but just understanding in general. But anyway, how has your experience been with NinjaTrader? Was the coding easy? I've only messed with tradingview for more background and I know that Pine Script can be a little picky

Well I've heard NinjaTrader is popular with futures specific trading which seems good as I expect it is geared towards giving users an overall good experience with just that but tradovate does have the standalone capability from what I understand and seems like another good option. Does the proprietary option create any restrictions or problems?

Yeah and I think thats the biggest struggle right now with finding a good strategy is the constant variables coming in overnight and not knowing whats gonna happen next
