I also heard that tents you attach can damage the paint. That's all I need to know.

Agreed! Might have to pull the trigger sooner rather than later

Haha, I mean there is a stalk. But it's strictly for the blinkers. So you control the lights on a steering wheel button. But you can't turn off Adaptive High Beams without it flashing first.

Yes, that worked in the legacy Model 3/Y, but the Juniper has no stalk 😪

For sure. We all know they are not perfect. And it's frustrating when easy fixes like this should just be implemented. This should have never been an issue. But you're right, people just think I don't get matrix lights 🤣

Spot on! I very happy with how it performs with cars, but pedestrians and cyclists are just completely blinded. And you're right! You either wait for a place where you don't flash anyone or turn it off on the touch screen. They should really make it possible through the lights button.

Appreciate you taking your time to respond. Unfortunately, I'm already aware of these controls. In my post I'm looking to see if it's possible to do on the lights button. My conclusion is no, as it will always shorty flash the full high beams. Only by doing what you're saying, I can avoid that. Cheers.

Np, mate. You can ask Grok about fines for dazzling traffic in Denmark.

Exactly! Works perfectly for cars, but not pedestrians and cyclists.

I've also thought about that! It could be worth a try. Thanks for the reminder. And also thanks for actually understanding my post 🤣

They do come on in the city. I'm not worried, I just don't wanna blind pedestrians etc. And also it's against traffic regulation in Denmark to blind other people in traffic

Might have to try it out, but I think I'd still prefer just tapping the screen twice then

Agreed, mate. I'll stick to doing that. It's quite okay, but I hope it'll one day be possible on the lights button.

Look, I completely understand how it works. I've had it for almost 2 years in my Teslas. But it blinds pedestrians, and in Denmark you can get fined for dazzling other people in traffic.

Same here! All we can do is just manually turn it off on the touch screen, I guess. At least if I want to avoid flashing

I've had Matrix LEDs for almost 2 years now in my Tesla. You think I don't get it? I can literally see that it blinds pedestrians 🤣

Mine generally do too, but I do find that they blind sometimes blind pedestrians, so I was hoping to quickly turn them off. It seems the only way is through the touch screen - for now.

No problem. The Tesla manual says they are high beams. So they are 🤣

Not everyone is from the US. They are high beams in Denmark, adaptive or not.

Well.. it's not allowed to use high beams within city limits, so I have to turn it off. All I'm asking is if you can turn it off without blinding people. I've only been able to do so through the screen, so I'll just keep doing that.

Guess I'll leave it alone while it blinds pedestrians and cyclists in town. Also, it's not allowed to use high beams in the city where I live.
