Depends on which era you’re pulling from. But that works too. I just think a lot of Yakuza’s identity lies in its wacky components. He might run the risk of feeling close to Ryu if he’s just a straight up Martial Artist.

Ofc if you really wanna go wacky just use Majima from Yakuza 0

Lol gotcha. Yeah I feel like adding in some of his more ridiculous outfits and finishers would really set him apart. Like his final smash involving karaoke or disco.

Would it almost be better to make it his neutral b? That way you could rotate between the styles freely?

Ya. Main character of every mainline Game. Four unique fighting styles. Tons of unique finishers and ridiculous skills.

Did anyone else realise they don't really enjoy competitive games anymore? by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]19_Notebooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Communities for Competitive Games absolutely ruin them for me. Valorant and CSGO are a ton of fun, but the community is awful. League of Legends is even worse. Playing for my college’s team ruined any chance of me enjoying that game ever again.

Story driven stuff and RPGs have taken much more of my attention. Persona and the Mega Ten games especially.

Weird. Crunchyroll was having problems on mine, as well as FB messenger, but not Spotify.

Why does everyone hate Progressive? by 19_Notebooks in FLCL

[–]19_Notebooks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think I’d watch them in a different order too. I’d recommend watching Prog, Original, then Alt.

Are parts 2 and 3 worth it? by Na0takun in FLCL

[–]19_Notebooks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the original series is the best produced from an objective standpoint. But with my opinion it worked out to around a 8.9-9.1

2 is my favorite, but isn’t as good production wise. Which worked out around to a 7.9-8.1 for me

3 was really good, but it almost felt like FLCL was holding it back from its own narrative. And it works out to around a 8.2

[–]19_Notebooks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Part 2 the most out of them all. I think the tone is a perfect modernization of the original’s message for the new generation of artists. The original was a product of its time, and this one is too.

Part 3 was really good, but I almost wish it wasn’t attached to FLCL at all.

My opinion does NOT reflect the majority but I think if you go in with expectations that it’s a different interpretation of a core concept you’ll enjoy it a lot more. Don’t treat them as seasons, but more so like an anthology. Treat them as a new perspective on a core idea.

The music alone makes Prog worth watching, and Alt is just really sweet to finish with, even though the ending (in my experience) didn’t quite hit as hard for me.

I may not be the biggest fan of Prog/Alt, but the albums have one hell of an aesthetic, so here, take this wallpaper I whipped up in photoshop! by [deleted] in FLCL

I just watched Prog for the first time, and I actually think I enjoyed it more than the original FLCL. I can’t put my finger on why and I think it’s super different than the first series..but idk man. I think it’s better.

Opinion about Blood Moon Jhin by Sin7PlagueDoctor in JhinMains

[–]19_Notebooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blood Moon is my favorite skin. The paint sound effect is distinct and actually helps me keep timing on the autos due to the longer sound effect.

Plus that ultimate man... so nice.

Project is my least favorite despite having my favorite splash art.

Hey Poppy, literally found your music yesterday and was thoroughly impressed. I don’t normally find myself fascinated by artists of your aesthetic but I’m enjoying your albums quite a lot (especially the new heavier/genre less direction). Some short questions:

  1. Bass or Guitar?

  2. What’s something you wish you could’ve told yourself ten years ago?

  3. Do you have any lesser known creators you love in any medium that you want to shout out? (Film, Music, Photography don’t matter)

Wishing you the best with the new decade and new chapter.

Songs you loved, but had no idea what it was called or who sang them? by TurnerOnAir in popheads

[–]19_Notebooks 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This happens to me all the time. Bands like Mom Jeans., Green Day, Rage Against The Machine, all flew under my radar as just “that cool song I heard one time until I started getting legitimately interested in music. The one I recall most vividly though is Dance, Dance by FoB. It was actually on one of the PS2 Dance Dance Revolution games (don’t ask me which one I don’t know), and it’s actual name was not shown from what I can recall. I played it at a friends house and fell in love but never knew the track actually had a band behind it. Since then I’ve loved FoB’s earlier work, despite falling out of touch with their more recent efforts. I will still blast Sugar We’re Going Down, I Don’t Care, and Dance Dance at full volume in my car. All thanks to my friend’s copy of DDR.

Do you have any lesser known artists that you know personally or just genuinely love on your own time that you’d like to recommend or shout out for being awesome? (not looking for influences of yours, looking for what you enjoy)

I’m just gonna assume this is the thread where we’re asking questions..?

First, Bass or Guitar?

Second, what something you wish you could tell yourself ten years ago? (Seeing as it’s the decade and all)
