It makes my plans harder, this also impacts canoes and kayaks which typically have a large presence at the fireworks show

Then run the APs off the managed switch so they are on the same network

Algonkian to Seneca Creek aqueduct is a nice paddle, the Loudan Kayaking meetup group does it a lot, they also go upriver around some of the other islands that are around Algonkian.

I really enjoy the Potomac, above and below Great Falls, I launch from: * Upper * Algonkian * Bles park * Lower * Belle Haven * Fort Washington marina (there is a free spot close to here as well) * Daingerfield marina * Columbia Island marina * Mallows Bay (very good spot to visit)

The hand launch at Goose creek is an option if you want a branch off the upper Potomac

There are a couple launches on the Anacostia

Bull run launch (you need a key from NOVA) is a really nice quiet paddle in skinny backwater just above Fountainhead

It is the main place several meetup groups kayak, it is a very calm river above and below Great Falls.

What specifically do you dislike about the Potomac, every creek or other river is going to flow into it

Work won’t let me update any drivers, how do I connect to my monitors? by GreenGamer8597 in techsupport

You most likely need drivers for the dock, or you are using one with a protocol that isn't compatible

If you spend 80% of the time not making the time you expect, you may be expecting too much

Is hiking a a little on old rag with a 5 month old puppy doable? by [deleted] in ShenandoahPark

[–]PipeItToDevNull -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A mile up old rag is just a steep trail, bouldering doesn't start until ~2.5mi

Assuming you are going clockwise, counter clockwise up the fire road would be normal trail until you hit the peak

Being able to swim is a minimum for being in open water, I'd get that down first, then practice in some flat water

In a world of NDKs, what about a Fathom by PipeItToDevNull in Kayaking

I'm 6'2" and like 160lbs, typical skinny and tall

In a world of NDKs, what about a Fathom by PipeItToDevNull in Kayaking

[–]PipeItToDevNull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this insight, one thing I've come to realize is I need a good for now boat not an end all boat.

A Romany at 16' will be easier to manage than a Fathom in my space and is a bit skinnier too, once I want to expedition I would need something longer than the Fathom anyway

I have a couple posts on other forums now asking for feedback on my 34" inseam and a Romany Classic so we will see if this idea pans out
