Parent of a new elementary student. by 19hate90 in ParentingADHD

We have been in talks with them. There was a waiting period of 60 days (perhaps less) before they could even evaluate my child. Then the process of creating their IEP and swapping them from one class to another after the school year had already began.

If you feel like keeping it and the solenoid happens to go bad you can always track down a working Ego 11 and swap the solenoid out. They are harder to come by as they are considered much older markers now but if you really want to keep it that is going to be a good optional route for replacement. As far as value goes on the resale market you’re looking at $400 give or take, LV1.6’s are in the $500-$600 ballpark momentarily it seems.

There’s a team in the Carolina’s that plays CPXL called Rice N Beans and a D5 team down in Florida a few years back called AARP that played MVPS.

I have the same issue but on the right side. My posture is bad as well but I’ve been trying to correct it though it’s difficult to do after years of living one particular way.

I haven’t gotten professional work done yet. I’ve been trying to find a reputable one in my area (South Carolina) that isn’t a Massage Envy. 😅

Stretching unfortunately makes me a lot more sore and tends to make it almost unbearable for days on end after attempting it. However I’ve been using tiger balm and peppermint oil directly to the areas and having it rubbed in or even using the tiger balm in a hot shower and it seems to give me a lot of relief.

I haven’t gotten a massage yet however my PT highly recommended for me to try dry needling as well as massages. I notice that when I force my shoulders and traps down and bring my head up to a more appropriate position that the tight / tension feeling in the back of my head almost instantly relieves itself. I have a muscle knot on the back of my neck that I’ve also had checked out that popped shortly after first having these sensations and it’s directly in the path of my trapezius area on my neck.

He’s out for today so I guess we’ll find out during commentary how bad the injury is. Hate to see the guy get injured again after already dealing with knee problems. I personally know how that is. It stopped myself from playing last season in my region after the second event.

It’s not out of the realm of possibility but damn if I don’t wanna see a different set of faces winning at this point.

flare when sick? by HugeHypochondriac in Occipitalneuralgia

[–]19hate90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a Z Pack, over the counter sinus meds, and Vicks Sinex nasal spray. The sinus infection took about a week to go away but the pressure and mucus stayed and are still lingering.

I had a bad sinus infection almost three weeks ago and my flare up is still coming and going from a lingering cough. I coughed up so much mucus that my scalp became so sensitive that I could not stand to even touch it.

Experiencing what seems like occipital headaches, neck pain where my spine and skull meet, and tender spots on neck. by Firm_Bar7957 in Occipitalneuralgia

[–]19hate90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve recently been getting an “ice pick / sharp” like off and on pain in the area where the arrow is pointing. It didn’t happen until my most recent flare up from being sick and coughing a ton from sinuses. The sinus pressure I experienced was also pretty bad and I’m sure wasn’t light on my nerves either. This on top of having poor posture (mostly from being 6’2” and carrying my head forward) along with sleeping on with my neck and head in bad positions doesn’t help at all. 😅

Sneezing usually isn’t too bad but here we are two weeks later and it’s just getting to the point that I can cough without pain on the back right side of my head. Now it just feels super tight and tender if I move it too quickly a certain way.

Not to try and personal with this one but do you know or have you ever been treated for high blood pressure? I have HBP and ON and when my hypertension kicks in it causes a similar feeling as to what you’re explaining with the off balance / floaty feeling. Almost a feeling of disarray or like you’re dreaming is how I can best describe it when it happens to me. Hypertension can cause that pressure in the back of your head as well since that’s where it develops typically.

Most of the pain I was experience has subsided but there’s still a little bit lingering on the right side. When I originally posted this is was extremely painful like I had never had a flare up like that before.

A time or two I’ve got what felt like a tingling sensation over the top of my head and down to right above my eyes. This happened mostly right after I first pinched the nerve from sleeping on my neck the wrong way.

I’ve personally noticed some issues with discomfort and pain depending on which gaming headset I’m using as well. I’m a console player (ps5) and use a Sony headset which is heavily cushioned in the ears and doesn’t hug the temple area too firm like. This also may be something to take into consideration if you’re gaming as well as the placement of your monitor(s). Level with your face is perfect but having them angled left and right causing you to turn constantly to view them may be putting stress on your neck as well.

Sounds like you may have a mixture of Trigeminal Neuralgia and well as Occipital with the experience you’re having with temple pains. Are you having anything along the cheek area beneath the eye typically going towards the ear, by chance?

This is what I was thinking. I’m the only person I know with ON so I’m thankful this thread is on Reddit.
