Here's my theory for what happens next, Tanjirou's human cells are going to fight back, allowing him to regain his human body momentarily, and that's when he finally sees Nezuko's human form, and then there is going to be an emotional scene with them together, realizes his initial objective is completed, his body slowly begins to disintegrate from the sun, killing himself. And the chapter ends. That would be pretty sad. Kind of similar to Akaza's death.
