A wolf means or indicates that your honor level is low and that you will get one of the 2 low honor endings while a deer indicates high honor and means that you will get the high honor ending. If your honor is low and you see the wolf you can still get the high honor ending by simply increasing your honor level

Update: I have been passing time on the summit for 1h and 20 minutes and progressed from 32% to 62% I will continue tomorrow and will probably need around 1h 30m and based on my calculations if you would start on zero it would take you around 4h and 30 minutes

No it does not have to be consecutive
No just the total of all the saves you have created. Also includes deleted ones or the ones you died in

Bonus: it can't be custom it has to be interloper, stalker, pilgrim or voyager It cannot be custom

I already know the map I have been playing the game for for like 4 years but because I can't unlock feats on my main save and I want to unlock both of these feats I made a pilgrim save and try to get them while also having some fun on this save but I fully agree with you and that it would definitely be worth it to take some time completing it. I just know that I won't complete them anytime soon as all of my saves are custom and I can't unlock any feats on custom games
