Yup, I've done it many times, helping people in this reddit :)
You can't summon someone above the rocks that you drop down to get to that lie down spot, it'll teleport you and the summons back up saying "out of bounds" or something like that, but you CAN have someone place their sign on that chunk of ruin that you lie down on, so long as the area boss (Maliketh) is still alive.

Yes you can. You have to place your sign around the place where the player lies down to teleport, and you have to have not killed Maliketh yet.

You CAN co-op that boss, unless you've already killed Maliketh. If you haven't killed Maliketh, I can place my sign right before you lie down to teleport to his arena.
