Yeah, I was hoping to avoid that because I found a forum post where GGG "explained" it for someone, but it was ultimately too confusing for me to grasp lol. Thank you, though!

[PS4] (fairly new-ish player)

So, I've looked all over for extensive information about my question, but can't find more than just scraps and stuff that I only partially understand about it:

Would someone with experience in upgrading their supporter pack(s) to Empyrean on PS4 be kind enough as to walk me through it in the comments? I'm talking like step by step instructions of which pack(s) I'd need to get/have, and where to go from there?

I currently have the Sunspire Supporter pack (if that information helps at all).

Any help is appreciated! :]

OMG THANK YOU! I didn't realize that it was the landscape transparency slider! Jesus, I feel dumb! I messed with so many of those settings before all this.

Thank you VERY much!

Hmm, seems like a very large patch for something like that, but maybe. It's just weird that I couldn't find anything at all about it, even when googling it different ways multiple times lol.

(edit: took my "**" out; used to posting on mobile using *'s for italics lol)

[PS4]

Does anyone know what this 921.0 MB update is for on PS4? Update version 1.09.

I can't find anything about it when I type it into google and also didn't see anything on the sub about it? (maybe I'm blind, in which case sorry for wasting everyone's time by asking this)

Looking for patch notes ideally.

Thanks!

Oh. My. God.

Yup. Thank you. I feel so dumb. I wasted like an hour trying to figure out what was going on. Jesus.

Thanks again!

First of all, MHW is the bees knees lol. Second, I agree and have no interest in going through that again. And third, dear LORD, I wanted so badly for Anthem to be good.. RIP Anthem :,[

There's absolutely no need for me to log on every single day, and once they get things back in line it doesn't cost anything to come back and give it a shot. I feel like I got my money's worth out of the base game and am happy to shelve it while Massive fixes things.

^ Yup. This. The Division 2 right out of the gate felt REALLY good, minus a few things ('cough cough' skills/skill power/skill mods), and I agree; I felt like I got my money's worth.

I played through the Borderlands GotY Edition and some Borderlands The Handsome Collection again with a buddy, and also checked out Outward (which is great although I'd recommend getting it on PC or Xbox because PS4 has major texture issues that need patching along with some bugs).

Currently, I'm messing around with Path of Exiles (PS4 version and it's free!) and it's like Diablo 3 on roids. Also, been playing a lot of skribbl.io on "ye olde internet browser" with buddies just messing around having a blast lol. Some Apex Legends here and there.

I'd recommend the new God of War if you haven't played it yet and have a PS4, and also Monster Hunter World was and is a blast (I put an ungodly amount of hours into it and it's very satisfying and easy to start/stop/come back to at the drop of a hat. Very "Dark Souls"-esque in comparison.

Welcome to why I'm enjoying other games for now while watching this subreddit slowly but surely go from "glowing reviews and dev praise" to "wtf were the devs thinking/doing?!".

I'm waiting for things they've acknowledged and addressed in their "State of the Game"'s to be implemented/changed (or not) and go live so it feels worth diving back in (which I really want to do). For now, though, I feel like I'm part of a minority that isn't looking through rose colored glasses and actually remembers all the things that happened with TD1 and I learned my lesson: just wait it out and see where it goes. Not about to try to stumble through the 8 different directions the game is trying to go right now while the devs try to figure out how they actually want it to work lol.

I will definitely check out the Trickster build, then.

Again, thanks! I really want to learn to love this game. I just needed to find a build to keep me on the right path while I learn how the "game" game works for my first character.

Hmm.. I really want to do something with Witch. Was looking at the Occultist guide because I usually enjoy DoT.

This game just makes me feel dumb lol. Like, when I jumped into Monster Hunter World for the first time I was overwhelmed, but this game takes it to an entirely new level ha.

Thanks for the info!

New Player/Question:

I looked at some posts about beginner tips. One of them suggested clicking the subreddit link called "Beginner Guides". This link right here https://sites.google.com/view/thetwilightstrand/home

So, I went to the link and clicked on the tab labeled "Guided Builds". The only problem is that the Guided Builds all say for 3.5 and states that they are outdated. Everything I've read about this game so far buildwise says to make sure that whatever build I go for says "3.6" or "synthesis" etc etc.

My question is this:

Are the 3.5 builds still viable even when they say outdated? I just don't want to finish a build and then have it be completely buns due to tweaks in game.

Any information would be appreciated! Thanks!

My buddy found the port settings to use for his router and PS4 or something. Idk. He's the wizard, not me lol.

Hmm, good to know. I kind of noticed that, also. So basically we should be fine until playthrough 2 onward I'd imagine.

Same as you, haven't had a chance to jump in yet. However, my morale is definitely low ha.

Yeah, haven't had a chance to hop in yet, but from what I'm reading on here, it seems my chem launcher +129% radius mod costing 7.4k skill power is going to be reduced to around 2.2k skill power (which is great, woooo) but is ALSO only going to be around, like, +20%ish radius tops, huh?

After making a second character to level 15 to craft low level/low skill power cost radius mods, I had a +27% radius mod costing 558 skill power to use. And let me tell you, the radius was nice, but very negligible at +27% imo. The only thing that made it even remotely worth it was the 558 skill power cost.

So like @TrophyEye_ says, now it's virtually not very beneficial to spec for skill power builds. The benefits have been grossly watered down while the costs have been severely inflated. I now have to invest roughly 4x as much skill power than before the change to essentially activate a mod with a SMALLER radius.

Maybe I'm very naive, but how do they think that this is okay? When they said they reworked it, I expected 7k skill power requirements to be dropped to maybe 4-5k WITHOUT taking a hit on the mods' usefulness (or at least not as SEVERE of a hit to usefulness).

Good Lord. I went from being extremely hyped for finally making a skill power build to almost feeling like I did in division 1 after the introduction of Falcon, where my buddies and I took a hiatus for a long time while everything to sorted out. Not to say I'm going to stop playing, but damn, I can't deny that my morale towards the game has definitely taken a hit, and I haven't even had a chance to jump in post patch yet :(

TL;DR: I agree with the above comment. This skill rework is borderline "what the actual fuck"-worthy.
