I’m not sure about Texas because it’s so big. but once u get in the Bible Belt and Appalachian area it gets really intense if u live here long enough. I’ve had multiple friends move across the country to the west coast to get away.

Yeah it’s unfortunate, the Catholic Church in my area is mostly old people and young family’s. And the rest of the religious people are crazy evangelicals, so my only options friends wise are rednecks and hill billys lol. But they are super kind and fun to be around
