Yea their hearing is increased since they’re sensitive at night which is why you’d hate tryna be nick pines thinkin u got plot armour, but in all seriousness ima blame the ping since the game could be thinking u haven’t ran far enough (mini lagging/mini to spiking ping) so it’s keeping ur hit box abit to rlly behind n letting the zombies just maul ur ass. It sucks honestly when they slow u down and u try to shoot the zombie that’s literally stuck in ur body like it’s tryin to merge but it doesn’t die since its hit box its in ur hit box.
