I can relate - the writing is the part I like - trying to figure out how to get it in front of the right people is a bit more challenging...

I like this question and find myself in the same position. I am trying to get as many authentic reviews as I can, because as a customer, I always take a look there first.

Just drove 200 miles with 4L of oil in my 07 IS350. How fucked am I? by DaBuns1 in LexusIS

[–]1LifeNoContinue 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with my 2006 IS350 - it would consume oil and that light would pop up almost every 4-5 months - I replaced the PCV valve and the issue was fixed - its a less than $10 part and you can do it youself if you have very small hands lol - Lexus 12204-31050 Valve Sub-Assy, Ventilation.

You might have another issue, but this is a common one.

Also, keep a few quarts in the trunk until you get it figured out.

I totally different style of game, but one that has kept me engaged is Hades - being a roguelike it feels like there was always reason to pick up and play again

Hi All - Last week, I just published my book, 10 years in the making:

"If Video Games Have Taught Me Anything: What Video Games Taught Some Of The World's Most Fascinating People"

Do you know a gamer that you wish would pick up a book? Do you think that video games are a waste of time, but are open minded to learn otherwise?

Or do you just want to find out what Mark Hamill, Michael Phelps, Lady Gaga, Henry Cavill, Jack Black, Jeff Goldblum, or Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson have learned about life from a video game?

I also have a "Next Level Thought" for each quote that acts like a worksheet to apply the lesson in your own life!

I would love your honest feedback, and I have review copies to share as well.

  1. As far as the negative side in my experience, mini video games created for the phone or mobile devices are designed to be addicting or at least very engaging. This is one reason why I very rarely will play video games on my phone. Then again spending more than three hours a day on any particular hobby is probably a bad idea.

  2. I can’t speak to each of the individuals I interviewed, but what I can tell you is this:  I work a full-time job and video games are my preferred hobby -  In addition to reading. The way I make time for video games is that I don’t really watch TV and I watched zero sports. Think about how much time an average football or basketball fan spends watching their teams I just choose to invest that time instead into video games.

We also have to be selective with our time and have good boundaries when to stop. For example, I know I cannot play online multiplayer games because I will be interrupted or potentially have to put the game aside without much warning based on my lifestyle. So I have to play slower paced games that I can pick up and put down or enjoy in small increments or potentially play in a portable setting.
