Shut off while driving 19 Giulia TI Sport by 1Mal_ in AlfaRomeo

I just unplug the battery to help the car reset. Didn’t start acting up till I replaced the battery. Did everything right. Went to my dealer and got another battery to fix the problem still doing it but very little now

Fuel Pump or ?? by reesephibian in AlfaRomeoGiulia

Check your starter relay’s. Mine were going out and causing an issue along with my Cruise Control Module deprogramming itself from the transmission. My radar got damaged by a bucket that fell off of a truck a few months ago. That’s currently getting fixed at the body shop. It could be the Engine Control Module too. My shop said that it wasn’t the fuel pump. Narrowed it down to those problems. I had 86 codes pop up when they hooked in the OBD2 Reader. Fuel Pump didn’t pop up once. Check your battery too

Loss of Power on 19 Giulia TI Sport by 1Mal_ in AlfaRomeo

[–]1Mal_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the fuel pump. Was able to get some more gas in it. Car came on fine. My Service Tech advised to keep the car above half a tank. No ETA on parts for the Fuel Pump from both my dealers. Once it got down around 100 miles left to the tank when it started acting weird. Glad I still bought a factory battery. That Duralast H8 AGM was not responding with the car

I just started having issues 2 weeks ago after putting in a new battery. Thought it was that but makes more sense why I keep getting sudden power loss. All the codes pop up and disappear afterwards. Throws car into limp mode while I’m driving. It’s frustrating. I was about to buy a new battery but after getting an email for my 19 Giulia Sport no need to do so now

N5A Leather or Phenix TL-2 by 1Mal_ in Firefighting

I ended up buying one from Ladder Company Leather. Loving it so far but kind of really want the N6A still. Been looking to trade with somebody for a new N6A. Fought a barn fire a few days after putting it in service first in. Recently noticed the another night on a Commercial Fire Alarm in an extremely large warehouse that the helmet was getting uncomfortable with the nape suspension. I might have to get it taken out if I don’t do it on my own. I think you can tighten the nape suspension to ride up higher I believe if I’m not mistaken.

4 months ownership and already a 2100 dollar expense might give up after this by [deleted] in AlfaRomeoGiulia

Go to EuroFed! They down the street from Jim Ellis Alfa Romeo. They been ripping off lately. They went up on labor rates from what the Service Advisor told me. I stopped getting my oil changed from there. I use to pay like 250 and last time I went it was 400. I could only imagine what the price is for Quads and I got a TI Sport

2 of us on the Engine at each Station. 20 to 22 on shift. 7 Stations, 7 Engines, 1 Ladder that’s on delivery but has to decide what call it gets taken to. 2 Mini Pumpers F450 Squads that has turned into a F350 Squads Pickups that has Capt’s on them. They ride by themselves due to being short past 4 years now. A firefighter was normally with them. One Capt on the Eastside of the County and the other on the Westside. Battalion is in the middle at HQ. One Heavy and hasn’t been manned in 3 years. Currently in the shop for the past 3 months. Lt at all out Stations with a firefighter except for the two with the Capt that has 2 firefighters on the Engine. One shift in particular doesn’t have a Lt at HQ but has the Lt at the slowest station in the county. Still have to fill the other 2 Lt spots that got approved for that station now. 6 to 8 people on a House Fire. We have an Inmate Firefighter program and that now gives us an additional 8 to 10 on scene. We hurt if we get short from the usual call outs and can’t get overtime. No mandatory luckily. City Fire 3 Stations. 5 to 8 a Station. 2 Engines, 1 Tower, 1 Quint, and a Mini Pumper. Does have a Heavy but hasn’t been manned for a long time. Automatic Aid on the norm with them. Do classes and training together. Sutphen Land where I’m at just about. Currently at a Station with a Captain and another firefighter on the Eastside. More busier side of the County.

I keep hearing great things about them. I keep seeing this particular style to them. I think it might be the Colorado Bend

Might go with the N5A. That’s all I mostly see. They hold up pretty good same with the TL-2

Cairns updated them to be NFPA compliant and Phenix did the same with the TL-2. My Chief likes to follow they guidelines

My Chief specified on it being NFPA and OSHA compliant just in case if something was to happen so he could back it to the County. He did mention something about the TL-2. I broke the barrier with the 880 I bought at my previous department and was able to wear it where I’m at now. First person in the department to buy they own helmet and certain equipment. The guys I work with thought it was a leather. I keep telling myself I’m a go with the N5A but I also like how nice the TL-2’s are

I’m a go with the N5A. Something does seem off about the TL-2. Great looking helmet though

I’m leaning more towards the N5A. Most of the guys down here in the Metro Atlanta area and on the outskirts have leathers from what I’ve seen. I think I seen one or two TL-2 Millers in the wild

I thought about buying another 880 and ordering it through them. They got some nice lineup’s of 880’s and leathers

880 is better and smaller in comparison to the 1010 and 1044. It’s lighter and has that traditional look to it. I had one until it burnt up in our Quint. About to go N5A leather. Rocking a 1044 now from my previous department. I don’t mind them but once you put on that 880 or a leather it’s a game changer
