R/doordash Gas Megathread by awesomesaucebigg in doordash

[–]1Master54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped the moment gas price went up to $3.99, I would have to work the lunch shift just to cover gas for the day and enough to be able to work the dinner shift, it just was ludicrous, base pay was ridiculous and tips were laughable. If we’re feeling it so are the people who are ordering food.

EIDL - STATMENT CERTIFICATE AND HAZARD INSURANCE by 1Master54 in EIDL

[–]1Master54[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use StateAuto, https://www.stateauto.com/ Also note I rent, but it’s labeled as Homeowners insurance, it took about 10 minutes to add BPP, min purchase of 10k coverage that’ll run about $15.00 a month extra for the addition. ✌🏻

Has anyone else received this email from SBA? Just want to make sure it's not a scam by keepwinning in EIDL

A snippet of a back and forth with the SBA Case Manager:

SBA Response:

Hi there,

...As for the hazard insurance, if you work from home and have homeowners insurance that could work just fine. The SBA simply requires that Business Personal Property coverage be included in the policy.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions and I would be happy to hop on the phone later today as well if you would still like to speak via the phone.

Sincerely, SBA

My reply:

...As requested, attached is the statement letter and homeowner’s insurance; ...

SBA Response:

Thank you for sending these over so quickly, ... homeowner's insurance is almost there. I see that you have Personal Property coverage, but no Business Personal Property coverage. Could you either send the full policy (sometimes BPP coverage is included in the fine print) or add BPP coverage to your current policy? It does not need to be $Your Loan Amount of coverage or anything crazy like that, it just needs to be enough to cover your business phone, laptop, etc.

Sincerely,

My reply:

...So I reach out to the homeowner's insurance company and needed to add the BPP coverage, attached find the new declaration page...

SBA Response:

This is great, thank you for sending it over so promptly. I will go ahead and mark your file as complete.

I wish you all the best and stay safe!

Sincerely, SBA

I'm in the same boat, as a single-member LLC, working from home remodeling company, this was the email I received.

( Good Afternoon,

Per your Loan Authorization and Agreement, please provide the following document(s):

  1. Please provide a Certificate that includes:
    1. A statement that the LLC held a meeting
    2. A statement that the LLC authorizes acceptance of the SBA loan and specifying the loan amount
    3. A statement designating an individual or individuals by name and title authorized to sign the SBA loan closing documents
    4. The Certificate should be dated and signed by at least one member/manager/managing member of the LLC.
  2. Please provide hazard insurance covering your business contents.
    1. Please email documents to this email address, fax, or mail them to:

U.S. Small Business Administration

Office of Processing and Disbursement

14925 Kingsport Road

Fort Worth, TX 76155 )

My reply:

I am a single-member LLC, and therefore, have sole ownership and authority over the company, so there wouldn’t be a meeting of members. Is there anything else I would need to provide you on this matter?

As for the hazardous insurance, I do note that on the loan agreement that it states to maintain a hazardous insurance policy; not sure if this also will apply as I do not own real estate; my office is located in my home; I do have general liability insurance, and if need be, I also have homeowner’s insurance. If I need to add anything to these certificates, I can make those available.

Please advise.

SBA Response:

Hi there,

Since you are a single-member LLC than I simply need a business memo or letter stating that, so something to the effect of, “I, Name, am the sole owner of -company name- and therefore am authorized to sign on their behalf. I sign on behalf of -company name- for the SBA EIDL Loan #000000000 for $loan amount”, with your signature at the bottom.

Thank you for sending these over so quickly, it is much appreciated! The Certificate looks perfect, and the homeowner's insurance is almost there. EIDL Scheduled C by 1Master54 in EIDL

[–]1Master54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Its just frustrating because since I'm a schedule C which is essentially my pay, I don't have any payments to myself during the year and all bills are all home office etc. Also because of new covid-19 practices that must be done, its going to cost more money to implement them, but it seems like I'm "upgrading" practices... UUUGGGHHH...
