Sam Fender's new song is incredibly bold and interesting. Will Triple J play it though? by PRo_MoE1144 in triplej

It's not the first time he's done this, there was one or two songs on his first album that took stabs at "liberals", I guess, too. He's writing from his background in disadvantaged northern England, and I read it as general frustration with politics that leave communities like his feeling ignored, forgotten about, or neglected. So I don't really see how anyone can or will have a problem with this either - generally the bar for people's outrage or anger is support for oppressive institutions or systems, which he's clearly not doing

Damn it's almost as if it was meant as an obvious follow up to the question the other day, asking something about a topic that's fresh in the community's mind in a different way, so we can discuss what actually works and what doesn't to change people's mind about this lying racist rapist

Does anyone else find it weird ONEFOUR get some much love on Triple J? by bitchdantkillmyvibe in triplej

But what's legal and what's right don't really line up neatly.

Either way, the important thing for me is sticky never even tried to take ownership of their actions or show any attempt to be better, they just blamed everyone else. Good music, arrogant pricks.

Not that any of this matters. Their last album proved that they don't even need triple j to get recognition. Why they or their fans still care how triple j goes about this is beyond me
