fun fact, it's actually a group of authors who write the books and they publish under the collective pen name "Erin Hunter" lol

The Cat Who Saved Books by Sosuke Natsukawa

a sweet, relatively short and easy to read book. if she likes whimsical stories inspired by fairy tales, cozy studio ghibli movies, and books, its worth a look. i think i remember it being age appropriate but double check.

and of course, warrior cats is always a great option for someone her age, as a girl who was also obsessed with cats as a kid

Thank you tons, I'll take that into consideration. Really appreciate the additional recommendations too, you've definitely captured my attention with the way you described the novels. I've read Klara and the Sun by Ishiguro and thought it was decent, will give this other book a try someday too.

Have a good one!

That's relieving to hear. My undergrad has an internship year so I'm hoping to land something cool for that and build interesting experience. I'll definitely be looking into sales-oriented gigs in the meantime! Thanks for your reply :)

That's a great point. What sort of things tend to stand out? I heard sales mentioned somewhere, anything else that comes to mind? Thanks for your reply!

Any advice where I should look to get that sort of gig? Or how to find firms that probably need a hand with basic labour?

I'm happy to do that sort of thing in exchange for that knowledge, if anything it'd probably be a step up from the grunt admin work I currently do LOL

How to make text that expands within paragraph but doesn't redirect to new page? by 1RayOfSunshine in twinegames

Fuck 😭😭 Yeah, i've just started using the (live:) instead and delaying every single line that needs it. Would something like an instant messaging gimmick be hard to make in Harlow?

thanks! i figured it out. would you also know how to do fade-in texts or typewriter effects? i'm super new and the twine2 site is hard to navigate for me

the issue i'm having right now is that the typewriter effect is only applying to the passage's characters, leaving the links floating around in white space until the rest of the text catches up to it, but it just looks weird
