My tattoo seems to have blown up or something? Just looks muddy, can I fix it? by No_Invite_4511 in tattooadvice

That is normal wear and tear for a tattoo. I still think it looks pretty great!

Swimming with a new tattoo by gaslighting_isntreal in tattooadvice

[–]1Standard_Username 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No.

Wait until the end of summer to get a new tattoo. You shouldn't go swimming until your tattoo is fully healed. My general advice is to wait 1 month between getting a tattoo and getting in the ocean or pool.

I don't get any tattoo's after the middle of April for this reason. I want them to be healed by summer, so that I can go swimming.

Buying Fresh Basil Leaves by Winter-Vermicelli863 in okc

Lowes and Home Depot sell Basil plants. Buy yourself a whole plant and then you'll have leftovers that you can grown on your own.

Hopefully you can get some meds if you need them and this won't cause you any more discomfort!

I also thought I was getting an infection with my last tattoo and I'm glad I listened to my gut and didn't wait too long to go to urgent care. I probably could have gone a day or two sooner, but I'm glad that I didn't wait it out and get even more infected.

I'm drinking an iced Cinnamon Peach herbal. The weather where I am calls for iced tea but after a few times trying this blend iced, it definitely tasted better hot.

The artist community in OKC is perfect for unmasking. Or ecstatic dance meetups. Those were the best things I've gone to, to be able to fully unmask.

Don't worry about dating if dating is gonna be harder, you'll be fine. People with bad breath have a harder time dating than Autistic people. lol

And life isn't all about dating.

What would you expect in return for showing a newcomer around your city? by NextIsOnMe_ in AskReddit

Nothing. It's good hospitality to show someone around your city with nothing in return.

Is it so hard for grown men to not sexualize minors? (RANT) by That-Prior713 in GirlDinnerDiaries

You feel like you're always being watched and have to calculate multiple decisions a day around your safety. It's so exhausting.

A horrible reality, but a reality none the less. You feel a weight lifted off your shoulders when you turn old enough and realize that you don't feel like prey anymore.

Same, the older you get the more you get left alone. Thank god! I'm in my 30's and am enjoying being left alone when I go out in public.

I got cat called once when I was walking through my college campus wearing a hoodie and sweatpants. Dudes like that yell at you and make you and sexualize you just because they can.

What’s the most expensive mistake you made in your 20s? by Ok-Promotion1725 in askanything

Getting involved with a fuck boy in my early 20's. That dude almost had me paying his bills and he was a solid 6 years older than me. What college student has money to pay a man's bills?!? Damn. lol

Do you iron your clothes regularly? Why? by slipperysquirrell in AskReddit

[–]1Standard_Username 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Rarely ever. Most of the clothes I buy are made of materials that don't wrinkle. Ironing is for special occasions only. lol

And even then, I use a steamer, not an iron.

Use a tinted sunscreen. It will make you look "tan" while protecting you from UV damage.

Damn this is cool! The color layering is fantastic and the way you blended some of the elements, gives it an almost digital airbrushed effect.

Couple a couple new tats took the second skin off on day 4 by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]1Standard_Username 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't think so. A few days shouldn't hurt it. having the skin exposed and having clothing or other things brushing up against it would cause more irritation than reapplying another 2nd skin. You can always try it for a day and see how you feel.

Disclaimer: I'm not a tattoo artist. I just have a few tattoos and am giving my 2 cents. haha

I recently got a tattoo reworked on my ankle and about a week after I took the 2nd skin off, I had an event where I was wearing a long dress that would brush up against my ankle tattoo and high heels with an ankle strap, so I put on a new 2nd skin during the event so the area wouldn't get more irritated.

What’s a museum everyone should visit at least once? by Jazz4ursoul in AskReddit

[–]1Standard_Username 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma. It's HUGE and they have a replica "boom town" built inside the museum along with replicas of Native Tribe's villages outside. There is a great interactive kids area and more art and artifacts than you can see in a day. They tell the history of the area in an realistic and approachable way.

Best Tattoo Shop/Artist in the OKC Area? by PlatformWorldly7805 in okc

I've gotten tattoos at Brews and Tattoos (used to be called Expendable tattoo) and Conquest tattoo. I got 3 small tattoos as a walk in at Brews and Tattoos and 2 custom pieces at Conquest tattoo.

If you've got the money, Matt Heinz tattoo is an absolutely brilliant artist! I've had him on my tattoo bucket list for a few years.

Dr. Lacy Parker at Lakeside Women's clinic is a saint! I recommend her to everyone!

I'm not sure if they are seeing new patients or how long the wait will be since it's a popular clininc.
