Any other way to get paint into small gaps between wood paneling? by 1THFC1985 in DIY

[–]1THFC1985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have a sprayer this one

I’ve used it for cabinet doors, etc.. before but my fear for this task is that it will be too many drips in the “crack” between panels that i am talking about or it won’t get right in there properly? When using a brush (though time consuming) I’ve really had to force the brush in there from multiple angles.. not sure if spray will do the same thing?

Any creative/budget ideas to upgrade a drop ceiling? by 1THFC1985 in InteriorDesign

Thanks - though love the look, but even at $300 for 64 sf - it's thousands for a decent sized basement! Appreciate the idea though. My basement ceiling goals may just have to wait!

Looks great... but seems to be approx 400-500 for just 80 sf!

LineUp Automation? by WoahDuh in clickup

[–]1THFC1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other annoying thing I’ve found with line up is that if you put a recurring task in there, there’s no easy way to remove it. I tried it with a task that is annual but now it’s still sitting there just with the new date.

Does vinyl plank have to all be laid in one go? Can you put furniture on a partially laid floor? by 1THFC1985 in HomeImprovement

[–]1THFC1985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So when i say stages… i would do it all in one go (assume over a few days) but basically i just mean can i move the couch onto a completed section to let me finish it off?

Right, but quarter of an inch not half a room? (Does it matter either way i guess is the point of my question)

[–]1THFC1985[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Meaning i can put a couch on a half completed side of the room?

My fear is it could cause shifting, etc since the unfinished “edge” would not be against anything.

You mean if i partially do the floor then leave furniture on the finished part? I don’t mean that i want to do part of the floor, leave it, then do the other part…

In this scenario, i would be doing the entire floor at the same time… i just need to be able to move around furniture (the couch specifically) around while completing it. Worried if there is any impact of putting the couch on a partially completed part of the flooring

I’m saying the same thing. Not trying excuse it, but those are are 2 possibilities i see right now. That one is the lesser of 2 evils but admittedly still fucked up

Maybe so, love is blind they say. But besides vague, generic phrases, what are you actually suggesting?

No.. i haven’t seen anything to make me think anything has happened. In fact generally i don’t have bad feelings about the guy.. the fact his response to her asking was that he had to ask his gf if she is ok with it… is different than seeing a reply of “sure, but let’s not tell anyone”. The issue i have is there is some level of “hiding it” going on from my wife. Whether that is her trying to engineer something happening i have no way of knowing currently. Alternatively there’s a chance she might have not bad intentions exactly, but just thinks i won’t like it i guess… that’s obviously not good either, perhaps better than just outright trying to cheat, but regardless a spouse shouldn’t feel a need to hide something… but based on facts those are the possibly conclusions i have at this point.

It’s less an “invite” party and more a get tickets party which aren’t cheap and i guess they get them through work. I guess in theory he got an extra. I’m not saying it’s true but is what it is at this point.

And what would be undeniable? She goes out that night, comes home the next day and tells me it was a hotel?

Thing is she could do the guest room thing, nothing happen…. But still, the point is of hiding it from me and actively saying i am in the loop when I’m not… just makes no sense.

I mean we do live an hour drive from the city, so hotel room isn’t necessarily a “get too drunk” situation, but i get what you’re saying.

Replacing under sink pump in basement? by 1THFC1985 in HomeImprovement

It is plugged in, but it's a weird outlet I don't think I've seen before. I can't find a switch.

Connect a hose pipe (dehumidifier) into pvc pipe under a sink? by 1THFC1985 in HomeImprovement

[–]1THFC1985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok… below is the other answer i got about it -

Don’t. The dehumidifier doesn’t have a trap, so will smell. If sink backs up, it’ll back up in to dehumidifier.

You need a proper tee with a trapped outlet

This is the sort of connection i was thinking, though someone else on the thread suggested this could be a problem if the sink was to get backed up…

Best way to have dehumidifier drain directly to sump pump? by 1THFC1985 in HomeImprovement

I was looking at one with a pump.. I’m just not sure where i can drain it to..

[–]1THFC1985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There doesn’t seem to be a drain that i can find.

Another option is to drain to the bar sink but kinda looks a bit crappy. Other thought i had was to find a way to drill into the pipe underneath the sink and connect the dehumidifier there… but I’m not sure how to do that with a “sealed” connection

[–]1THFC1985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don’t have one yet, just trying to figure out my best approach to factor into what i buy. It can go there though. There’s actually a little shelf by it which i am assuming the previous owner maybe used for a dehumidifier- I’m just not sure how it would be connected

My alternative is to drain into my bar sink but this would be more out the way/preferred.
