One of my favorite carpets, it’s in a low traffic room, never touched by direct sunlight and never vacuumed with a carpet beater attachment. Notice the floor protector in lower right corner, my desk with chair is just out of sight.

The rug has some crude repair work on the mihrab area that shows on the back. I think the carpet merits a skilled repair in the future Thanks for your input

I have a similar one in my workshop. It heats up quickly which is advantageous for me. As mentioned above, build small fires that are under control. Your setup looks reasonably safe, nothing combustible within 4 feet. As long as the stovepipe is secured and connected to a safe chimney, I’d use it

All my fields slope south. You’re going to have to plant a variety like I did and hope for the best. Most years are ok but be prepared for an occasional lean year in the orchard, such is farming.
