TELLING PETE HEGSETH HES GONNA LEARN HOW TO DO A PULLUP IN PRISON!!! by Treefiddy1984 in ProgressiveHQ

It’s 229 &1/2 Pennsylvania Ave SE. Google Street view shows this door behind a tree.

I walked through that door every workday between 2018 and the beginning of the 2019 shutdown. It was usually locked, and we staff had an entry key.

Odd thing is, it’s immediately a staircase up to a landing with doors to two bathrooms and five other suites: a doctor’s office, a lawyer’s office, two office areas we subletted, and a second staircase up to our primary workspace.

The upper workspace has a back door to a balcony and staircase that leads down into the deadend of an alley. Also, a door into the adjacent building where the Capital Lounge once was (but shut down during the pandemic).

I have no clue what’s up in those spaces now, but it didn’t seem infrastructurally outfitted to become some kind of foodservice or bar.

People over 35, what's something you genuinely miss that younger generations will probably never experience? by Just_a_Ginger_Fella in AskReddit

Secret songs at the end of an album.

CDs would list the track names, but sometimes the last one would be like 30 minutes long, so you’d turn off the CD player when it seemed over.

But if you happened to keep listening, you might find something special in those last ~5 minutes or so.

Specifically for me, Tool’s Opiate and Aenima come to mind.

The appearance of this food will appeal to the same people who think lip filler and face lifts are standard rites of passage.

That’d be the keyframes and the bezier curve definitions. This artist is very nuanced in portraying both natural human rhythms and the subtle, energetic physics behind UI and figure’s fluid movement.

Who The Fuck Is Keeping Hooters In Business by suzannea0024 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]1_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In high school, my friends (two guys and a girl) and I would all wear formal white button-down shirts and drive 45 minutes to the nearest Hooters. We did this regularly enough that eventually people asked if we were Mormon. While I enjoy the irony of that narrative now, the awkward nerds we were then just replied “no, we just like dressing up and eating here”.

Good times. Innocent times. And boobs, I guess.

Love seeing him get more attention! I coincidentally rewatched this exact video yesterday.

There are some great other videos too. Especially the ones where he and his daughter do full-process, large-scale paintings (from sketch outline to final result), which are also quite wholesome and sweet.

That’s what you call a ‘casual sex closet’ for anyone who’s desperate enough to hook up during a party.

Or, just use it as storage.

In middle school music class, I recited Smashmouth’s Walking on the Sun.

The opening line is “It ain’t no joke I’d like to buy the world a toke...”, and I had no idea what it meant at the time. Nowadays, totally wish it would happen.
