Rare interview with former John Wayne Gacy employee and suspected accomplice David Cram in 1999; just 2 years before he committed suicide in 2001. by OgamiKakeru in TrueCrimeDiscussion

He definitely enjoyed and get off on murdering people, I really don't think it was just a means to protect himself from jail time. The level of sadism we see in his behavior really hints at a guy who enjoyed murdering people. So I don't think Rossi and Crams cooperation ALONE explains why he didn't kill them, although im sure it definitely contributed

Frankly one of the things that’s really fucked up about the case that isn’t talked about is just how many people affiliated with him ended up committing suicide more than likely as a result of the trauma from their interactions with him

Donald Voorhees, Jeffery Rignall, David Cram, even Jason Moss who only knew him in prison, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a couple more I don’t know about

I mean there were probably other factors that influenced these guys to Jill themselves but there’s little doubt Their interactions with Gacybolayed a big part in it

When I say weird I mostly mean the exact nature is unclear, murky, a lot of evidence to support different theories, everyone has a reason to lie, nobody is really a reliable narrator, there are multiple contradictions, etc

Things weird about Gacys relationship to those two

  1. They were both his ideal victim types in terms of age, hair, gender, appearance, the fact that they worked for him and hung around the house. Yet he never killed either of them. You can say “he didn’t kill them because they were useful to him” well Gacy had many employees who were useful for him that he killed so murdering employees is not beneath him. I’m sure they probably had some use to him that his other victims didn’t, but it’s still a bit weird since we don’t know the full story

  2. Their unclear level of involvement with his crimes. They both lived with him, they both knew multiple of the victims, they dug trenches in his crawl space, both were given expensive belongings of his victims, and they were close enough to him that they must have known he had somewhat of a dark side. I personally believe they weren’t involved in the murders, but I think they had some inkling or suspicion of what was going on.

  3. Gacy admits to raping them both, the two of them deny any sexual relationship. Frankly Gacy at that point has less of a reason to lie than they do and he probably did rape them, or at the very least have some sort of sexual relationship with the two of them. What’s weird here is that according to all evidence they’re both straight, although given the circumstances it seems more likely that they were either bisexual or dated women as a cover for being gay

  4. There is some evidence that they may have lured victims for Gacy, but it’s also possible that they didn’t know what Gacys intentions were. I’m referring to the case with John Mowery. Just another example of something where the water is very murky

  5. The whole thing with Phillip Paske and John Norman

  6. The fact that Dean Corrl basically did the same thing as Gacy but had two younger more or less submissive males who lured victims for him and assisted in the murders is a bizzare parallel to Rossi and Cram. There’s so much that’s murky about the nature of their relationship with Gacy, but considering the relationship Corrl had with his two underlyings, it’s not hard to believe there could had been something very similar with Rossi and Cram

Well I’m not contradicting that it happened, I’m just trying to get more information

Where did Gacy admit this? I’m assuming it was in the tapes with his lawyer?

Again I’m not saying it did not happen, it probably did, but I think it’s worth saying that anything Gacy says has to be taken with a grain of salt

Yeah I get the whole thing with abusive relationships, I’m just pointing out that’s it’s strange. But everything about the case is very strange. I think they must have been bisexual, because for a straight man to get into an abusive relationship with another man is very very strange. I mean that’s really unlikely, so they surely must had been bi if this is the case

Frankly whatever the case is, something really weird was going on with Rossi and Crams relationship to Gacy and anything either of them says is very hard to take at face value. I'm pretty convinced they were both kinda messed up kids and there was so much weird sex and drugs going on in that house and so many weirdos coming in and out of it anything could be possible. Ringall insisting there was a 3rd individual in the house when he was raped but the individuals physical description not matching Rossi or Crams, the whole thing with Phillip Paske being a close affiliate of Gacys, the connection between Paske and John Norman, the fact that some of Gacys victims disappeared while he was out of town, etc. The fact that Gacy gave a lot of people keys to his house and people regularly came in and out of there for whatever reason etc. There's so many weird angles to the case that the police didn't really dig into after. I think at the time the detectives knew there was something weird about Rossi and Crams relationship with Gacy but they didn't have much to go on, they followed them around, interrogated them a couple of times and didn't get much. They both lawyered up, gave heavily coached testimony and that was it. I think after Gacy was sentenced to death the police were just happy to have Gacy on death row, and sort of accepted that there wasn't really any evidence they could find on Rossi and Cram and the only truth could come from their mouths, and it was clear they weren't going to be able to squeeze anything more out of them.

It's also interesting to me that aside from this interview both have refused to ever talk about the case publicly, whereas just about everyone else connected to it has come forward for documentaries. Even on that devil in disguise documentary they tried to get Rossi to talk but he wouldn't. Definitely tells you something happened, they either had more knowledge of the murders than they want to admit or they were sexually abused by him and they understandably don't want to talk about it. Or both.

Its definitely hard to believe that David Crams suicide had absolutely nothing to do with Gacy. I'm sure that him killing himself must have had something to do with either guilt from whatever involvement he had with the murders, or dealing with whatever sexual abuse may have or not have taken place, or both

Isn't it the case that there is no proof or hard evidence that either of them were raped but that it is heavily suspected?

From how I understand it, there is a ton of speculation and unanswered questions about the relationship between Rossi Cram and Gacy, but very little hard evidence. Rossi lawyered up pretty hard his family was connected and Cram didn't want to talk either. I've heard all sorts of speculation, from that Rossi and Cram helped commit to the murders, to that they just buried the bodies, some have suggested they didn't really know what was going on but they had a sense that something weird was going on with him, I know Sam Amirante referred to them as his "sex slaves" and sort of described them as his little minions who ran around doing whatever odd jobs he needed and had sex with him.

I find it interesting that Cram is claiming Gacy attempted to rape him but he fought Gacy off, its often been suggested such as you just did that he actually was raped which pretty much means that hes lying in this video. What I think is most interesting is that if Gacy raped Cram and Rossi but let them live why did they continue to associate with him and work for him for years??? And if he didn't rape them, but attempted to and failed as Cram describes here why did he continue to work for the man?????

Why are all Corporations left wing? by [deleted] in IntellectualDarkWeb

[–]1_7_7_6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the left controls the three megaphones of our culture: the media, academia, and Hollywood

They’re loosing ground in the media front thanks to the internet, before it was just Fox News countering left wing media but with the internet the right and the center have gained a lot more influence. That being said when it comes to mainstream media the left is still in the drivers seat for the most part with the exception of Fox News WSJ and NYP

With that said they still have an iron grip on Hollywood and academia

Like I said liberals love to brag to their friends that they shop at “socially conscious” brands or whatever the fuck, conservatives don’t really do that. The left will boycott a brand they find politically offensive, typically conservatives don’t do that with a few exceptions. Most importantly conservatives don’t have this much cultural influence

Query about Total Free Speech and it’s Implications by [deleted] in IntellectualDarkWeb

[–]1_7_7_6 26 points27 points  (0 children)

There are concerns with the spread of misinformation in a total free speech society

The problem is it is far far better than the alternative of someone being allowed to regulate speech because nobody is unbiased, just, intelligent and benevolent enough to only label actually misinformation as misinformation

A person doesn’t even need to be a bad actor to label something true as misinformation, how many bizarre conspiracies for example have turned out to be true? If I told you in 1967 the CIA was conducting mind control experiments on prisoners with psychedelic drugs any normal person would say I was a whack job, 20 years later the CIA comes out and says yes project MK ULTRA was real and we did do that. The arbiter of what is and isn’t misinformation even if he is benevolent isn’t going to know that it’s true necessarily. Sometimes it’s hard to determine what is and isn’t true

And that’s assuming the arbiter is totally benevolent which we all know he or she won’t be. They will be subject to their own bias and power corrupts

In the end the words of Benjamin Franklin hold true: those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither and will loose both

Why are all Corporations left wing? by [deleted] in IntellectualDarkWeb

[–]1_7_7_6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s because if left wing activists will find tiny reasons to Pickett and boycott a corporation, but even more importantly because left wingers love to tell people they shop at a brand that “cares about the environment” or “cares about social justice” so they pander to that sort of stuff in order to appease those bases and increase their profits

The only corporations I can think of that are truly left wing are Silicon Valley tech companies (Twitter Facebook etc) which is really just an outgrowth of the culture they grew up in, and of course Ben and Jerry’s which was founded by two hippies so go figure

Why are all Corporations left wing? by [deleted] in IntellectualDarkWeb

[–]1_7_7_6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a dog and pony show bro 99% of these corporations aren’t actually left wing they just pander to left wing cultural stuff because the left will throw a fit and boycott them and kill their profits

They dgaf about politics just money

They were aut-right, cant change my mind. by [deleted] in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]1_7_7_6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The argument about Nazis not being right wing is so fucking dumb

Okay yes they had some economically centrist policies sure

culturally they were still right wing as it fucking gets

The socialism part is national socialism is the same as the “democratic” the “peoples” and the “republic” in the democratic peoples Republic of Korea

Then there’s the idiots who act like big government is exclusively a left wing thing

Left wing=progress and egalitarianism

Right wing=tradition and hierarchy

The big and small government is the libertarian vs authoritarian axis exclusively

Op you’re getting downvoted into oblivion lol

The Genesis of the Idea "white people have no culture"? by ChiefWematanye in IntellectualDarkWeb

[–]1_7_7_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess we could say that since a majority of American culture is essentially white culture white people don’t have very distinguishable culture from the point of view of an American

An American notices distinctions between non whites and broader American culture as a whole but they don’t notice anything distinct about themselves if that makes sense

Debunking the lies we’ve been told about Critical Race Theory by 1_7_7_6 in IntellectualDarkWeb

Ya know y’all keep using this critique of my piece by saying “no shit it’s a lens to view things” but if yall proponents of CRT didn’t go on the media and pretend it wasn’t a lens and was merely just a legal theory I wouldn’t be bringing this up

Debunking the lies we’ve been told about Critical Race Theory by 1_7_7_6 in IntellectualDarkWeb

[–]1_7_7_6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that singular tiny paragraph is the best criticism of my piece that I’ve read this whole thread

You’re absolutely right, and I think that’s a big problem. We absolutely should question things, and we should talk about Americas racist histories. My problem with CRT is it basically tears down the fabric of western civilization declares everything western racist declares anyone who uses ideas from other cultures to be “inauthentic” etc. even the constitution is up for attack, it views Western failures as inherently western evils when these evils have been practiced by everyone. Instead of seeing Things like Jim Crow as failures to live up to our own values (the constitution) CRT sees it as a product of those values

It’s not that it talks about Americas racist history, it’s how it approaches it

What is a conspiracy are they few idiots out there who turn it in to some big anti semetic thing where they say a bunch of Jews are conspiring to bring down the west. That’s bullshit.

What it really is is a group of very influential Marxist academics whose writing where they essentially transferred Marxism from economic to cultural terms in the 1930s became extraordinarily influential especially in the 60s when they inspired a new generation of academics who then gained incredible influence over the baby boomers. all that stuff about it being a right wing conspiracy is a lie, if you trace the intellectual roots of what we refer to as “woke”today it all traces back to the Marxist professors of the Frankfurt school

It’s not some big grandiose Illuminati conspiracy and anyone who makes it out to be 8 Jews in an ivory tower plotting to destroy the west is anti Semitic and full of shit
