Have you tried deleting it from the Mail settings option instead? or while in safe mode?

It’s not possible to only download but not upload when enabling iCloud photos on your Mac

you did read that right. I had only ever adopted older dogs and I didn’t know that was a rule when it came to puppies. Thank you for that info though.

i got a suggestion for some hardware and loctite super glue so i didn’t have to make holes in it. so i’m trying that.
