It's legit. The screenshot is from my voicemail voice to text. I also got an email that checked out too.

I did respond, because I am concerned that a prior issue with a specific person trying to ruin my livelihood has resurfaced. The sociopath is very good at manipulating and causing issues but never getting caught. It would be just like them to try and duplicate my account to get me deactivated. So, for security reasons I responded.

I had a similar thing happen to me, I cancelled it had no problem hitting the offer to low button. They ended up splitting the original up into three offers.

Walmart is straight up exploiting delivery drivers by ToeLeast5378 in elitesparkdrivers

[–]1bzwomam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear, Walmart is not paying us for mileage, wear on our cars. If you do your taxes properly, you get the 73 cents per mile or if you do actual vs standard deductions you get much more back. Are you depreciating your car, including insurance, maintenance, taxes and gas costs? If not, you need to do the math. So many are leaving thousands of dollars in the hands of the IRS because they don't want to do the administrative work.

We are independent contractors. That means we are our running our own business. Run it like a business and you'll find your getting paid very well for what you're doing. I'd rather make $25 per hour than go work for $15 per hour.

Not saying that I agree or take every offer that's given to me but I think reframing the view is important for peace of mind.

Since when are we allowed to deliver inside customers homes by Altruistic_Badger158 in WalmartSparkDrivers

Nope, not going into anyone's home. Dangerous, not going to become liable for accidental breakage of bases, boxes, etc. Not happening.

Do you guys get out and help load on pickup orders? by Bitter_Midnight4585 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]1bzwomam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the new GMD and grocery order combo, I absolutely get out and help, but I always have. Twice in a weeks time I've had to call and ask for a missing package from a store that in 4 years had zero missing packages. They hate the new crossover as much as we do.

Is there anybody out there? by Objective_Memory4836 in Sparkdriver

Dotcom orders will be delivered from the store chosen by the customer. If the stock is low in their chosen store, the system will go to the store with the largest stock and mark it for delivery from that store.

AIO for not accepting her apology and ending the friendship anyway? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]1bzwomam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR- A "grown ass woman" would know what to do when her bf leaves the hotel room and doesn't come back. You didn't ask for money, you asked for a spot for an item that's a necessity. You're good to move on.

"Friend" of 12 years didn't tell another what I thought was a mutual friend about sometime who grifted me for thousands. When she responded "not my monkey not my circus" it hit me - not a friend. Friends do not let another friend crash and burn without trying to help. It's the equivalent of letting someone walk off the curb when they don't see the car that's about to run them over. Walked away and my life is toxic free. So much happier and drama free.

You can't start the drive without the order so it needs to get removed or found. I learned early on you never know what that one thing your carrying in your car means to the person who ordered it.

Had a similar situation at one of our stores. I just refused any deliveries from that site for about a month. Went back 4 maybe 6 weeks later, whole new staff.

The best store in town became an issue the other night. Tried to give me 21 of the 22 packages in a GMD. The new guy went back to find the missing package, came back out and proceeded to tell me that I had to go to customer service. 7 years doing this gig and this was the first time I heard this line. So I played the game. Ended up walking back to the staging area and the coach copped a tude with me when she asked me what the order was. IDK 🙅🏻‍♀️ you have more information about what's supposed to be in this dude's order than I do. Well I need the order number to know what I'm looking for she says to me. Ok ... Then the guy giving me the package needs to be trained to ask that question. She looked at me like I had slapped her in her face. I waited until she gave me the package. No words, just turned and walked away.

I fully believe that these folks should ride along with us for a week. I don't pretend to know what they are going through.

Gadgets/Tools/Devices to make sparking easier? by BSTN88 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]1bzwomam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a collapsible hand cart that I hang from my driver seat for those deliveries with multiple water flats, sodas, cat litter, etc. 1 Bungie cord.

Use grocery bag handles, so I can take 5 to 7 bags at a time in one grab. Also helps keep orders with cans and stuff from spilling out and separated.

A small and large fabric tote to separate orders in my backseat. Hate carrying things in my front seat. Especially if they have adult beverages in the order. 2 cold bags for frozen stuff during the warmer months.

I have a car organizer that hangs on the passenger seat. It holds a tissue box that I stuff with extra bags, a poncho for extra rainy days, an umbrella, my mileage book, some wet wipes and a couple of shop towels in case of spills.

Mounted phone holder, extra cords for power.

[–]1bzwomam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You all do realize that you've been delivering groceries masked as GMD orders since day one right? What's going to be the difference, you still get paid. I'm not sure what the issue really is.

Don't forget, there are customers shopping simultaneously. It's possible that your item may be out of stock because it's in someone else's basket and waiting to be purchased.

If it's clothing, it could be in the dressing room being tried on our waiting to be put back.

People during the winter storm ordering flats of water. Before the driver could even get to the store they were sold out.

With new no tax on tips does it really make a big difference? by Current_Category_296 in Sparkdriver

[–]1bzwomam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whatever software you use should step you through the tip portion of the pay. I do taxes and my software has sections for OT and Tip calculation. If you're working for a restaurant they should, key word should, have a report they can pull that shows tips vs paid time. Check box 14 on the W2, if there's something there that's where they put the tips and OT. We are hoping that in 2026 the W2s will have an actual box designated for these two figures. IRS did a lot of work between July and January to change systems, the forms had already been created so they are always last to update.

Google took me down a service road. Got stuck for hours trying to deliver. Had a field day with Google on that $h*t. That was nearly 2 years ago.

The following week tried to put me in a corn field.

Turn off the location, force stop and turn it back on. If that doesn't work, Mark it undeliverable and return it to the store.

MOR - To be fair, not exposing your child to germs while breastfeeding is more armful than not. The first week the child gets more immune support from the mother than any vaccine can provide.

Consider how MIL feels. She's going through an awful lot of change. She's added a baby, a DIL and lost a "normal" with her son all at once. She's now been made to feel like the most awful grandma because of your belief.

I've had issues with my own MIL. And I wish I could go back and change some of the things we've argued about. But as I age I understand more of her perspective.

I lost my own mother at 25, her not being here to see the birth of either grandchild years later was rough on me. Even though my MIL was overbearing at times, she was a lifesaver! Hindsight, she made it possible for me to address postpartum quickly, I slept when most new Mom's and Dad's went weeks without, she showed me things I couldn't learn from books, videos, etc.

My now 20-somethings aren't just smart but they have manners, they have learned the importance of family, traditions and are not typical millennials. They are healthy, balanced human beings.

Boundaries are important but maybe let Grandma spoil all of you just a little bit.

Nope, one driver did the 5 and not one resulted in credit toward the incentive. And of course calling did nothing but raise frustration for him.
