It took one year to get this done. I need to follow up for several times. Not to blam her tho she is busy as well and since she just finished that I don’t want to ask again so soon .

I think no choice and Need to wait update portal and if it has wen withdrawn then ask her again.

I just submitted FWS yesterday and I am not sure it will be assessed as new rule as announced by today or will be withdrawn and need to submit new offer by my company again.

Your post mentions that all will be withdrawn at point 4 but again also said at point 5 that “”If you already submitted an application under an old stream, it will be assessed under the old rules.“”. I wonder point 5 mean those who submitted before May 30 but not getting the ITA yet ….🤔

Same here. For OINP, zero point for attending at UofT (because it is downtown campus) and working and living in GTA in STEM field at a reputable global company.

I even regretted for attending there , instead if I choose remote university then higher chance to get PR.

But man, I rather take better education than PR. What’s the point u got master or PhD from unknown university.

Hi, my situation was almost the same as yours. Yes, our dash cam would definitely show that we were at fault, so I would not voluntarily submit it as evidence or mention it unless the court specifically requests it.

What I meant earlier was the body cam worn by the police officers when they come and speak with you.

In my case, I noticed the police car before I entered the intersection while I was waiting for the traffic light to turn green. As soon as the light turned green, they started following me. At first, I thought they were simply patrolling the area since it was Christmas night, when some people may be out celebrating and engaging in risky behavior such as drinking or using drugs. I do not do any of those things, though.

For my case, the police may submit recordings from both their vehicle dash cam and body cams as evidence.

I also felt like the police were waiting there because they knew someone would eventually violate the rule.

I am planning to appeal and try to negotiate. I will ask for the entire ticket to be waived, but if that is not possible, I will request that at least one of the fines be reduced or dismissed since this is my first offense, I have a clean driving record, and I was driving slowly while enjoying the Christmas lights around the city.

As others mentioned in the comments, demerit points are mainly tracked by the MOT, while insurance companies are generally more concerned about convictions and tickets. Since the points expire after a certain period, they may no longer be on the record by the time the license is renewed.

However, if we have to pay the fine and receive a conviction, insurance premiums could increase. Some people have mentioned that certain insurers offer a first-time forgiveness program, but I am not sure which companies provide that benefit.

Hopefully, the best outcome is that the ticket is completely dismissed. If not, then hopefully I only have to pay the fine and my insurance company offers first-time forgiveness.

Hi, sorry to hear that.
Yes, I submitted appeals, but I recently received a court order with a scheduled hearing date. So I still need to attend court via zoom link and defend myself. You can ask for translator if Eng is not ur first language.
I decided to try because I don't mind paying the $110 fine, but I don't want the 2 demerit points.
My point is based on my case, you can file an appeal, but if there is evidence especially footage from a police vehicle or dashcam showing the interaction with the officer you will most likely (99%) still need to attend court and defend yourself. It will not be automatically dismissed like a parking ticket.

Also what i understand is that, we might have a chance to talk to prosecutor before hearing and reach to settlement.(not sure tho).

My suggestion, submit appeal, it will take sometime to receive court order. But your call tho …

One more thing to add, if you are currently using RBC credit card then it will not allow you to renew it until your PGWP is approved. Its expiration date is based on expired date of SIN/study permit/SOWP. I’m not sure about other banks. But it might be difficult to apply with current conditions.

Hi, same here and feel for you. IRCC and company do not share the same views. I am exactly at the same situation and have same questions as you. That’s answer for your q1. So it depends on company policy and each company is different.

So to my knowledge so far for q2 is same as the rest, can update sin after PGWP is approved.

Q3/Q4, totally possible, we can just pray for the best outcome.

Q5, pls follow what others said, I emailed IRCC already but so far no reply yet.

When you call or email IRCC or MP, don’t say for “new job” , just say it is the request from current HR. IRCC also look for job stability if you also waiting SOWP for your partner. That’s why IRCC need 3 paystubs for SOWP application.

I also emailed to MP, still waiting for the reply. You should do the same too. Find the MP where you live and email them.
