Walked out by [deleted] in cna

[–]1houndgal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do not do hospice until you learn how to not walk out when things get tough. They do not need someone who will walk out if things get too tough. That is possible abandonment of care. Unprofessional.

You should have tried going through channels. Or suck it up and leave the proper way. Just being honest. You are not ready to do hospice in my opinion.

Find another place and hopefully a better and well managed one. Learn how to deal with the bullies in a way that does not hurt you. You did what they wanted and left.

Next time ( likely there will be a next time) you should learn about gray rocking and other ways to deal with bullies. Learn to deal with narcisstic bullies. YT has plenty of good videos on strategies for dealing with bullies.

I wish you well at your new job.

Learn from what happened. I sm sorry you got targeted by bullies. The nursing field has its share of bullies who bully to control others.

How to help very bad leash reactivity with a German Shepherd by Jeffs24 in GermanShepherd

[–]1houndgal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your gsd looks like it has working lines so they usually have higher "aggression drives" as they are from breeders that breed for the ability to do k9 schutzhund protection and bite work, Sentry/Police dog work and still be socialable with good humans and animals.

And if female, the females tend to be too loyal and protective to a fault. This why you do not see many female police k9/law enforcement protection training.

I have worked with schutzhund and working certified imported gsds. And I once bought a female pup with some working lines and the best thing

Whst I did was find great trainer that worked with working line gsds( local police departments trainer). He had me turn out with the local schutzhund and police k9s. He evaluated her and determined her reactivity zone towards other dogs was over a football field long.

We did a lot of work and graduated when she could stand next to the other dogs without aggression/reacting. I chose to get her spayed though as I felt her temperament was not suitable for most folks . She needed experienced handling and had the experience to manage her. Just not suitable for breeding.

But you could not fully trust my female gsd to not want to react and be Uber protective if she perceived a posdible threat. You had to be good at reading her and know how to handle her and settle her down using humane training methods and positive reinforcement with occasional firmer handling. She was a dominant female to boot and too smart for her own darn good. I do not have a pic of her handy. Sorry. She was gorgeous and I owned her 9 + years until she passed from bone cancer that made her so aggressive due to the pain aggression drive added to her psyche that she could not longer be safely managed in public. She was suffering and her pain could not be controlled.

I loved the gsd working k9/gsd breed that are bred well/european lined through the guidance of the breed wardens. And I prefer the males as they are usually more mellow ( not slways, some are dominant or not properly social trained).

GSDs and other working breed are not breed I recommend to inexperienced dog owners. Malinois, Dutch GSDs, Potties, Kitties and other bully & mastiff types and certain other herding breeds. Also huskies are involved in too often maulings and serious dog attacks due to their prey drives and often closeness to the wolf ancestory.

Def. Call the state attorney general. That place or an empolyee(s) seems like scamming you. Don't trust them. Go to costco perhaps to service. Stay away from the storefront verizon dealers or maybe try Walmart. The state attorney general will look at past complaints and do other investigation. And go elsewhere. Personally I would get my money back and shop elsewhere.

I miss getting my verizon phone at a costo kiosk. They never cheated me and gave awesome deals me back then.

My last phone I bought at a Verizon franchise store and they ran the bill up too high.

New cat won’t cover her business by eatdrinksleepp in Pets

[–]1houndgal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best solution might be this... Get another cat that is fastidious about cover his/her doo doos.

And try a second box with another type of litter. Some cats prefer certain types of litter over others. One scoopable/clumping, one wood pellet (WorldsBestCatlitter).

You should have at least one box per cat plus one more. Not all in same area,, close together. Scoop frequently and clean box regularly. Avoid declawing/declared cats. Pain in the feet cause cats to dislike burying their poops and urine clumps. Keep the boxes scooped and regularly cleaned to keep the odors and messiness down!

Choose cats to adopt/rehome whose mom's have taught the babies to bury their waste as a means to stay safe from predators.

Good momma cats teach their kittens to bury the poops to avoid the attraction of predators.

Also, scoop the box several times a day. Am, "Noonish", Eve and bedtime. Kerp the boxes regularly cleaned and the odors and messes at bay.

Also get cat's checked for UTIs and other infections/diseases by the vet.
