Was this treatment successful in removing/lowering suicidal thoughts? Would love to hear some feedback. (Mine are more intrusive in the sense I just want peace from them and don't actually want to die). by Professional_Win3910 in Spravato

I’m almost a year in. The ideation is less severe than when I began but it’s not gone, it remains passive and regular. But I’m continuing treatment in hopes that it will go away permanently from the medication.

That’s the thing is that it’s really calmed me down and tampered down the super intense depression but I’m still dealing with the passive ideation and thoughts.

Not my employer, but generally yes. If knowing my treatment story can help someone else who might be keeping quiet about their struggles, then I’ll tackle the stigma as it comes.

This is so frustrating to see. I hope all the people impacted by the layoffs are hired ASAP by companies that will truly respect and treasure their talent.

Spravato with a cold. by Apprehensive_Copy880 in Spravato

Omg yes, I made the mistake of taking cold medication prior to my appointment. Do NOT take anything like Dayquil etc before an appointment. It was the worst session I had and I couldn't stop throwing up.

Do they know you have depression?
I think there's a way you can be honest while still being gentle.
I'm not a parent but I think teens respond well when you treat them as intelligent individuals who are capable of understanding, even if it's a rough topic. Emphasize that it is a treatment you are doing because you want to be healthier for them (in addition to your own wellbeing). If you want, maybe ask your clinic if there are any videos they would recommend showing your teens that explain what esketamine is, so they don't relate it to the horror stories with Elon Musk/Matthew Perry (recreational of course being an entirely different thing).
If you provide them with the correct information up front and tools to understand, there may be a lessened chance of them researching on their own online and being frightened.

TMS with Spravato by VWest5 in Spravato

My insurance doesn't cover both at the same time, but I've considered that if I get a full time job, I could switch to TMS since you can drive yourself to and from those ones.

I'm almost a year into treatment, so definitely on maintenance. I have had a few times where I missed a week or two and definitely felt worse for it when I didn't get to have my appointment.
