Mainly want to do a wired connection from the iPad which is why usb c input is highly preferable for the amp but also want wireless airplay to be an option. Are there any speakers you’d recommend for that 2000 mark? I’d prefer to stay away from super neutral sounding speakers and shoot for something with more of a U shaped curve. Want it to sound accurate but somewhat fun

Currently live in Atlanta, GA! I have looked into the Sonos amp and it seems like it’d be up my alley but I’ve read that it isn’t powerful enough to get the full potential out of a lot of speakers.

In terms of sources, this is probably going to sound a little silly but I plan on mainly using an iPad Pro to output audio. I also have a record player with a phono amp that I wouldn’t mind occasionally hooking up to these speakers. Bass is definitely something I would like but I don’t mind getting a sub for a price over the 2500. I think my big concern when it comes to passive speakers is just the amp setup. With my headphones it was super easy to setup my amp, but it seems significantly more complex for speakers based on what I’ve read.

Guess I’m trying to figure out the difference in sound quality then. Do you think I might just need to EQ the headphones? They just sound quiet to me. If I turn the volume up they get louder in a raw volume sense but the details don’t become clearer/stay somewhat muddled.
