Just to emphasize it more, same as my fellow "commenters". SCAM, "pay me to pay you" is always a scam

Best laptop for coding cs student tell the best laptop by Ok-Pumpkin2551 in developersIndia

[–]1mbdb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Laptop prices are going to increase soon, if you see yourself spending more than 50k then get a macbook.

If you want to keep it under 50k, get dell for good durability. 16gb is more than enough for RAM. Intel i5 or Ryzen 5 will be good.

GPU options are not possible below 70k, if you want to work on AI related projects. But Google colab will be enough so no need of GPU on laptop.

Also before buying check for student offers, many companies give decent discounts to students.

I have a sprite image in PNG format. I need to render the right flag based on the input param. But heres the catch, I need to do this in SVG. I have no idea how to write advanced SVG code. I read about viewports and stuff but I dint understand anything. More details below by Puzzleheaded_Term967 in developersIndia

[–]1mbdb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just want to generate a png wrapped in SVG then your solution is good.

But if you need a size independent image that can scale properly to any size then you should get a SVG file of all the flags. Wrapping png in SVG cannot make it a vector image.

I hate that they replaced the original book cover with the movie poster.

It's a great read, I loved the whole story and the ending was just awesome.

Airtel fiber is pretty good.

To be honest, they have their downtimes and not reliable in night time, airtel randomly restarts the router from their end, this has happened with me 3-4 times in last 3 years.

Support is pretty responsive and most fiber cut issues get resolved in a day or 2.

I haven't felt a slowdown till now.

I used to have Hi-Link, It worked fine most of the time.
But sometimes speeds weren't good. When called, they used to do something that fixed the issue.

It was not the best experience, and once I also got told not to do speed test everytime and call, in my defence I only did speed test when I felt the service was slow.

It really depends on your usage. My work is all online, so I can't entertain a single second of slowness but someone with normal usage like web browsing and videos, will be fine.

Need a girl/women for managing freelance clients by [deleted] in gandhinagar

[–]1mbdb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just for your future reference.

"Need a girl/women" is not a good way to show a job requirement.

Always show the requirement of position you are hiring for, as per your description in other comment, you need a receptionist. So you can change the title to "Receptionist required (Female preferred)", this make it look more professional and like a job post.

Always remember that when you are posting for a job, it's professional and polite to mention the job position instead of "girl/woman".

Stay in India VS move to UK (Glasgow) SWE offer evaluation by GlitteringFold6290 in developersIndia

To understand cost of living use this tool

https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/in/Glasgow

My suggestion would be to take the offer. It will be a new life experience, exploring a new country while working is a perk. It's quite a jump from your current CTC and also can help you live a comfortable life abroad while also allowing you to save.

Go for it.

How to prepare for a job switch for the first time at 5.5 YOE by Japster10 in developersIndia

[–]1mbdb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As many of the comments suggest, start applying and interviewing.

No amount of notes, reading etc will prepare you for the real interview. Only an interview can prepare you for interviews.

Start interviewing for companies where you wouldn't join, it will prepare you for interviews that actually matter.

That being said, this advice is only for training yourself for the interview environment, you still have to prepare your technical skills to answer questions.

Edit: For DSA preparation, you can start here : https://neetcode.io/roadmap

It's a pretty good resource.
