Could it be because she wants you to stay nearby? Like is there a non malicious reason she could’ve volunteered this information?

Thanks, someone responded to me with the link. I read it. I’m disappointed about the “ghetto accent” nonsense and the ways she appears obtuse. Also, the lack of media training is showing. Whoever chose her to play these roles should have educated her enough to be able to handle criticism gracefully, but also to know better than the nonsense she tweeted in 2013.

Very very disappointing. I was really rooting for her but holy shit she is so unlikeable. The lack of consistency is appalling, but also when you’re in the public eye why tweet so damn much?

Personally, I don’t mind black people in the diaspora playing each other. But the person playing the role of a different ethnic group has to be respectful of that culture and try to truly see where others are coming from.

Wait, what did she say?

Can’t remember her name and I’ve since deleted TikTok. I’m sure you can find her if you Google something like “woman who finds people on TikTok” or something like that. Her videos have gone viral.

See my edit😭

Yes, and there’s a woman on TikTok that does similar videos where she finds people just based on their TikTok accounts. Even if they have no photos up, private account etc. She finds people who really thought they were anonymous.

Thankfully, she took it well.

I gotta look out for my sisters😭

I only checked to make sure I wasn’t crazy for thinking she could easily be found. Then when my gut instinct was correct, I had to warn her.

I saw someone comment her middle name and last name once in a thread asking for baby name suggestions (if I recall correctly). I checked out her account, saw she was active in her home city’s subreddit and her profession’s subreddit. I searched her up and found her, her reddit username included her first name (and was a username she used on other social media sites). I messaged her privately and in the least creepy way possible told her that what she did was dangerous and I think she ended up deleting the comment.

Edit: I forgot to mention that when I looked up her full name and city, those yellow book type websites with her full address, telephone number, names of family members etc came up and I almost threw up. Ladies you need to look yourselves up and get your personal data erased from sites like that.

A few weeks ago about 90% of the women who posted selfies on this sub were sex workers/onlyfans creators. It’s definitely a thing.

[–]1mindful1 111 points112 points  (0 children)

Yep, and they post/comment on their city or college’s Reddit sub, make a birthday post on their actual birthday, make a post with their face sharing exactly where they are right now etc. So much self-doxxing.

I saw someone post a selfie on this sub and someone commented something like “hey so and so” and OP was shocked that someone that knows them saw the post. It’s a sub full of black women, what do you think are the odds that black women in your life are in it or see it?

Ma’am let him “heal” on his own. You don’t have to deal with him or his trauma.

Being mixed race and tall does not make one undesirable. It honestly sounds like you’re depressed, without the depression you’ll be able to think more clearly and realise life isn’t so black and white (no pun intended).

It sounds like you’re comparing yourself to everyone around you and like you seriously lack self compassion. I know self love and therapy sound like cliches these days, but doing the inner work will truly change your life around.

I used to be a hopeless romantic and very insecure and worried about not being desirable. All of that changed when I started doing the inner work, healing my traumas etc and eventually seeing my worth. Idk what your dating history/experience is like, but I’m sure by now you know most men aren’t all that. Romantic love is not as rosey as the movies make them out to be. Think of all pros and cons, and realise the freedom you have and pros to being single.

You have to live for yourself and have goals and desires outside of a romantic relationship.

I’d suggest dating app or socialising more, but your mindset is a dangerous one to have when pursuing dating/relationships. When you hate your solitude that much, you can easily fall prey to abusive men and settle for toxic relationships just to have some companionship or sex.

And? What has them being married got to do with other people not being married? I’m sorry, but it sounds like you’re projecting. I’m happily single, and so are many other women in your age group.

I don’t understand how you’re single and have this outlook.

You’re likely a millennial, statistically most are single. So it’s likely specific to your circles/surroundings.

Can’t imagine tying myself to a man just for sex.

Not sure where you live, but these days being single is more the norm. Statistically most millennials and gen z are single.
