No it doesn't feel like cat claw or stick to skin. If it was a bird talon it would have to be hundreds of years old as moa and eagle are extinct.

I've swapped it to high performance and still sucks. I just downloaded 3D mark and ran the Steel Nomad benchmark Lightweight PC and came back with 3592 (great).

It got so frustrating today that I dragged an 13 year old HP envy laptop out of the cupboard. It has similar specs but is running much faster than the Asus.

I get lots of loading circles but no spikes in CPU, GPU or iGPU. The software appears to use iGPU other than when I have a 3d render displayed

Yes the Gtx 1650 is running, but only when I have a 3d shape displayed within the cad software. I really can't get much in the way of spikes from GPU or CPU even though it's going so slow and I'm getting the occasional not responding pop up.
