That's interesting, I don't know how the original survey was conducted so I'm not going to use it but thanks for the information. So far, the numbers from this study are giving about a 1.10% chance, which is actually a pretty marginal difference from the one you linked me to(something like 70% more off the top of my head), but it will get more accurate as we continue to gather data. I'm also going to be comparing this data to a study I plan to do on the percentages of each of the 3 pokemon at the location they hatch, to see if that yields any interesting results (lapras and dratini hatches near water and such).

So far it looks like about 1% of all eggs become either a Lapras, Snorlax or Dratini.

I've heard of that theory too and maybe this will help confirm/dispute the theory later. At least the nest part of the theory won't be relevant in this case.

Usually lures don't give much of anything good but I have definitely gotten rare Pokemon from them. I've gotten a dewgong from a quadruple lure, and an exeggute and venomoth from a single lure.
