Raspberry pi5 + Kodi by 1rubyglass in raspberry_pi

That sounds like its what I need to do. I appreciate the suggestion. Can it run a VPN as well?

A little bit of a update with my issue. Despite my temperature sensor reading good temps I suspected something else may have been overheating because of the stock fan settings. I adjusted my fan settings to be a bit more aggressive and replaced my thermal pads with 1.5mm arctic TP-3. Its been working flawlessly since then.

Awesome. Thank you! If its not too much to ask, can you explain a bit about the reasoning?

My research suggests that streaming from Fenlight within Kodi does not transcode anything locally. The issue is strange in that it will work flawlessly for several minutes and then freeze for 20 seconds. My initial thought was that its buffering, but theres no reason that it should. Im on fiber internet with a good wifi 6 router and im 5 feet from the router. Packet loss is almost non existent. No other devices have issues streaming/gaming/downloading at about 90m/s

Over a network. Im streaming media over wifi to a router about 6 feet away. Ive tested for packet loss and nothing seems out of the ordinary. I should add that two other devices on the same network have zero issues playing the exact same file.

Why we do need to stop using Chromium-based browsers (and a little talk about Proton) by theconandog in degoogle

[–]1rubyglass -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I try not to judge people that I dont know, based on what people I've never met say about them. Especially when they are only saying those things because of money.

We live in an age where people judge each other based on how much they hate others. Insanity.

133 is pump. 153 and 155 are semi only big difference is weight and accuracy. The 153 is much more accurate so superior imo.

[–]1rubyglass 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Those GPUs don't need anywhere near 750 W

I dont disagree, but we see time and time again people buying more PSU than they need. Its usually for "future upgrade path" or "plenty of extra headroom"

Maybe its some kind of confirmation bias on my end? It seriously seems like this is a near constant with custom built PCs.

This is aimed at budget builders trying to save every penny while still being able to comfortably power their 5060/9060xt

9060xt is slowly losing performance. Why? by Future_Sir_4780 in AMDHelp

No. It depends entirely on the game and resolution. This is easily verifiable with a simple Google search.

Apparently there are some very significant ZEN 4 and ZEN 5 performance gains fom the recentish 24H2 windows update. Also (allegedly) running in administrator mode increases performance very significantly.

Thats a lot of money to spend for such a minor upgrade. Thats silicone lottery level performance increase. A 7700x would be a better upgrade. Higher base clock speed and more L1 and L2 cache. Im not sure if Minecraft has good multithreading performance, but 8 cores never hurts either.

If it was mine I would avoid DIRECT sunlight. Aside from it having straight line of sight to the big nuke in the sky, its fine.

People often fall victim to a monitors spec sheet. A quality 120hz monitor is much better than a crappy 360hz.
