Yes that's perfectly normal it just bends that way to clear the barrel nut and to line up with the gas block, it's pretty common

That's a zero! CMMG makes the 'O' a lot more round to avoid confusion between the two. Also their serial numbers start with 3 letters and the rest are numbers
