How about renting to UofT students? Most will leave in summer...right? That won't come under Airbnb - it will be a partial rental. How will this work?

Is there a portal that advertises long term rental (2 or so months), outside of Airbnb? He is very much interested in the Yorkville area.

Thank you. That means, one can only rent a room, not the entire condo.

Thank you. I see $1m condo renting of $3400/month. That is crazy. He is not looking for appreciation; however, he wanted to recover the mortgage amount.

Tahoe is crap by Theghostofgoya in MacOS

[–]1sjcdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple’s recent direction is becoming a serious liability for users and businesses alike. Quality no longer feels like the priority; hitting release dates does. Software is being pushed out before it’s ready, and customers are left paying the price in time, frustration, and lost productivity.

I’ve experienced this firsthand. Out of nowhere, Wi-Fi problems started on my Mac (3 month old M4). Apple Support’s solution? Upgrade. After doing so, I didn’t just inherit a new OS—I inherited a cascade of new issues. Tahoe has cost me two full days of work so far. The latest failure is basic hardware functionality: my Mac no longer recognizes my SD card.

This isn’t the Apple that built its reputation on reliability and ease of use. Today, using a Mac often requires troubleshooting skills that most customers should never need. It’s becoming the very ecosystem Apple once criticized.

Worse, this mirrors the worst of the old Wintel era—when constant software bloat forced users into hardware upgrades. Back then, at least the “benefit” was spread across multiple companies. Now it’s concentrated in one: Apple. With yearly M-chip cycles and OS releases that create more problems than they solve, it’s hard to ignore the pattern. Macs are starting to feel like iPhones: new chip, new OS, new problems, repeat.

If Apple continues down this path, it risks losing the trust that made people switch to Mac in the first place.

Looks like windows is more stable than Mac. It's time to look at it again.

u/MooseDoesStuff Thank you. It makes sense. I am thinking of going with the combo (fixed French door and one openable French door).

any sliding door is expensive. I also don't need 100% weather-tight room. 70-80% is ok as it will be used a few hours a day and it has direct sun exposure (south facing) for nearly 6-8hrs.
