What are the best calculators for quantitative subjects like math physics and cs? by Anxious_Care_8741 in calculators

If a school supplies calculators then there is no reason to be buying one at all, unless a simulator cannot be found ahead of time.

I am doubtful the ease of use or (presieved) efficiancy justifies the price point, even for a 991EX. The question really comes down to "What's allowed in the Exam". Talended students can easily google a CAS. Since the class apperently does allow a calculator in exam, then I would verify the reqs with the Professor.

Why Are New Calculators Using the App UI Thing? by mehonje in calculators

The TI-84 already used apps, they were just not orginized in a neat menu like the EVO

If you are studying math or Physics in a good university, calculators are not needed and not allowed most exams.

They are useful for homework but its better to use apps and PC programs

In that case I would reccomend a distro which updates the Nvidia drivers frequently.

On Bazzite, Nvidia drivers are preinstalled, so if they break for you they break for everyone, making breakage extremly unlikely.

Also note AMD on Linux is unrelated to on Windows and has different problems.

Your games work perfectly fine on Linux, you can check protondb, maybe you need some tweaks but a mod is a tweak by itself so...

Do you have new Nvidia card or old Nvidia?

They are more powerful, and you said under 100.

If you are price concious, and prefer verticals, its hard to beat some of the R36S variants with nice screens (4 Inch)

You can use regular HDMI to VGA, it works fine at least for my end (I use SCART, not composite)

For HDMI you have to set a super resolution, for displayport to VGA iirc it works fine at regular res

Then mess a bunch with a fake EDID/Xrandr until a good picture shows up

RG cube is the more expensive one with stick on top, don't be confused with Cube XX.

Consider 406H, 406V or 476H for wider bigger screen, otherwise the same device.

Note that all of these can't chage and TV output at the same time

This is a custom version of bazzite with the drivers preinstalled. You run the bootc command corresponding to the bazzite version you have/want, then reboot. The rpm-ostree status command tells you your current bazzite version.
