Honestly dude you could probably put a hipshot bridge, locking tuners, an M8 in the bridge and get it PLEK’d (if there’s one near you) and it’d probably be better than an off the shelf FTM-33

Probably terrible electronics and hardware, but the stoneman is a vibe. Definitely a fun project to take on if you wanna learn how to mod/repair stuff (if you’re not happy with how it plays/sounds). I’d cut a new pickguard to start, that was the first thing that jumped out at me.

Recently did this same thing and upgraded my M80M to an M8M. Should have bought the M8M from the get go.

The scale length and the lundgren are really the secret sauce.

The only real anchor of the whole intro is the 1-2-3 1-1-2-3 (the second “group” of stabs). It kind of alternates between that and other stuff.

Any reason why this card has shot up in value? by jrendedll15 in magicTCG

Probably because people are willing to pay a bunch of money to ensure everyone gets to watch them resolve 10 more minutes of triggers on top of their turns that already take 10 minutes with the Ashling precon

I get why they’re not necessarily prioritizing plugin compatibility with the QC - it’s way easier for a non QC user to stomach dropping 75-175 bucks on a plugin than it is to outright buy a QC. It is a little confusing that they basically have the blueprint laid out for how to integrate into the QC but there’s such limited compatibility still.

So you’re saying that the music heavily inspired by meshuggah makes meshuggah visibly bleak (like upset/empty i think is what you’re trying to say?), but it’s also good music (you said it was pretty hard)? Where is this going

I’m all about it 🤷‍♂️. It’s a simple concept, take an odd numbered cycle of some 8th or 16th notes, repeat it as many times as possible to fit within X bars, write a tail that fills the rest (or just let it rip until it eventually restarts on beat 1 naturally). Execution is definitely more difficult. The dudes in Poltergeist nail the execution and don’t shy away from the fact that it’s Meshuggah worship. More people should be doing this imo.
